Just saying.. if this is a gripes and concerns thread then certain posters shouldn't continue to state the same tired response anytime someone happens to have their own gripes and... concerns.

I watched the whole series as a kid but its been about 10 years,are they just doing Drangonball?Imean no one from Z is going to be in theis movie no Vageta!?!? or Trunks!?!!?....dont flame me Im just wondering cause fromwhat I've seen so far the casting has been really good,I love MArsters as Piccalo and the rest of the cast looks solid but Chambers and Rossum are horrible actors and Chambers is no where near the size that Goko should be IMO,im not sold on those two yet

they're starting from the beginning hence the title "Dragonball". no Vegeta or Trunks or even Krillin. i dunno why you think Rossum is a horrible actress, but i totally agree that CHATWIN (who's Chambers??) is wrong for Goku.

It's Dragonball. It starts with teen goku and King Piccolo with a brief intro when he was a kid.

You want them to start with Trunks!? WTF man. And Emmy Rossum is an amazing actor.

There is no one called "Chambers."

Being half-Asian and half-White, I get different views from all different races. Some people think I'm white, some think I'm Asian, while others think I'm European, Native American, and even Hispanic. None can seem to perceive that I'm mixed, although a few can, namely other mixed people.

Goku, being an E.T., was still meant to "look" Asian, regardless of perception. Super Saiyajin state however, was obviously geared more toward looking caucasian.

Just for the record, I'm a white American who always perceived Goku to be Asian

in all honesty, i never even thought of human races when watching dbz. but, looking at goku in the cartoon, theres not much, asian, about it. its more of a generic person me. its tough to explain that. but while watching it, i always saw, Saiyan...didnt think race or anything.
