The Dark Knight Rises What do you not like about the movie?

Thankfully we can get on to the real Batman in the next set of films then, because TDKR was a complete let down.

Lol, if you think so.

If it sucks, I'll be thankful we have Nolan's amazing trilogy.

Where in the movie did we find out Talia wanted to break the Bat? Or wanted Gotham to be a war-torn city? No, all we found out was that Talia wanted to devise the endgame and destroy Gotham with a bomb.

In the end when she explained her plan that it was all about revenge and making Bruce/Batman suffer. Why would Bane even care if it wasn't because of Talia?

It's fine if Bane wanted to go along with this plan to destroy Gotham City with Talia al Ghul, but let's face facts...all of that film, it was Bane's machinations. Talia was just this deceptive agent waiting until the very end. It WAS Bane's doing for most of the film. To say he was just a muscle is hilarious.

I feel like we got two great Batman films, and then it all fell apart in TDKR. I was disappointed while watching it I had so many huh? moments. I just didn't come out of it feeling like it was anywhere near as good as BB and TDK. To me it just went wrong and lost the feel of Batman. It felt altogether like something else.

I definitely feel the opposite. In fact, TDKR is my favorite Bafilm now. I had that notion as soon as I walked out of the marathon when TDKR ended.

She pretty much tells Bruce it was all revenge for killing Ra's.

No. It was Talia's idea after she found out Batman 'killed' her father. She set the plan in motion. Bane just did what she told him to do. Talia wasn't a 'deceptive agent,' her role was just different. She had to secure the fusion reactor to make the bomb- Bane had his role as muscle. All Bane's speeches to GOtham were hollow because there was never anyway the bomb wasn't going to be set off. The whole point of the reveal of Talia is that she is the real big bad behind it all. If it wasn't you don't even need to reveal her.

That's great for you. I've wondered how it will feel watching all three back to back to back, but I don't know if I can bring my self to 3 more hours of Bane.

I don't buy Bane just being the muscle for TDKR. The film I saw was Bane's doing until the end when Talia said she wants Batman to suffer when the League sacrifice themselves when the bomb goes off. That's what I get out of Talia's message after she stabbed Bruce. I see an equal alliance between Talia and Bale.

So Talia ordered Bane to break his spine? Show me where that was mentioned.

His spine wasn't broken. The plan was just to put him in 'the pit' she had to escape from and break his spirit as he watched Gotham be destroyed.

It came off to me, at least, that Bane and Talia were partners, and that they planned together, more than anything. But that's just me. *shrugs*

I thought the same thing, kinda....it was wondering if I could take 2+ hours of seeing Katie Holmes in a giant screen.

I don't think she did, he definitely made his own decisions, as Talia made her own (sleeping with Bruce).

That was awesome. He took it beyond parody and became something else entirely.

"Argh, ugh, Cover the doors. Wherza da twigeraaaahz! Wherea iz it!? AAAAAAHH You'da neerer grive it to an ooorinarie cirrrezen! Wherea iz it! *starts getting tired* whereaizit...?"

:lmao:
Absolutely hilarious.

I don't think that makes sense. The movie implies Bane's allegiance to Talia. And the whole plan is based on Talia's revenge for the death of R'as.

It's not like Talia slipped in at the last moment and said, "I'm taking credit for all this- "

I don't think you're reading the movie correctly. It's about Talia's revenge against Batman for R'as al Guhl's death. Bane is there because she rescued him from the pit. He allied himself with her because of that. That was the whole point of all the flashbacks.

Deception and misdirection was on Nolan's part- making us think it's Bane, Bane, Bane when the real villain behind it all is Talia. That brings the trilogy full circle. If it's Bane, Bane, Bane- then it really doesn't make sense. R'as never did anything for Bane. He was always allied with Talia. He was in the LEague of Shadows because Talia was the new head. It's all misdirection and deception about Bane. Not his plan, not his revenge, not even his origin.

Read that again.

I'm only stating on my point I am making.

Bane's own plans...such as...?

Anyway you slice it, Bane's only reason for being there is Talia. And there's no emotional reason for Bane to be there or any emotional connection to Bruce/Batman for Bane. Only Talia has that connection to Bruce/Batman.

Ok, so Bane might say "I will break Batman for you..." But without Talia's plan to get revenge against Batman Bane's not in the picture- at all. He has no motivation without Talia. He's still just muscle. Talia's plan was to get the fusion reactor and make it a bomb, everything else was done to make that possible. That's her plan, her machinations- Bane's just doing what he's supposed to do- the physical stuff.

If Bane's great planning was to 'break Batman's vertebrae' then again he's still just muscle.

But nobody is even saying it's "Bane, Bane, Bane". Perhaps you're not understanding what Anno's view is.

Yah, I'm sorry, and that's cool if you still think that, but Bane is more than muscle to me. Him and Talia were partners and Bane was not just this muscle behind Talia. Heck, Talia doesn't even need muscle whatsoever.

At least she's attractive.

Then I guess one could say my ass is attractive as well.
