What do you think of Ron Paul?

How can any logical person NOT vote for Dr. Ron Paul? The man is trying to quench exactly what is wrong with this country. We are deteriorating before our very eyes and this man is fighting to return us to our fomer glory. This counrty was founded for the people and by the people. Please America wake up.

I'm logical enough to know that the power elite in this country will not allow him to be President...the national conventions for each party will tell the people who they can vote for....I'm logical enough to know that this country has been bought and paid for already....

Please don't take my posting as a personal criticism, I happen to be very worried that your post is very much going to happen, but that won't stop me from voting for him. It's a shame what has happened to this country that we even have to be worried about this. In my heart of hearts, I no longer believe this is still the land of the free.

I get it....Ron Paul has given people something to believe in, but its too late IMO...each party will go with the "safest" candidate.....Ron Paul is anything but safe

so why vote at all, right?

And that's what Dr. Paul beleives in. Chances are that if he were President, we wouldn't be able to get out of the United Nations or NATO or NAFTA anyways due to Congressional resistance.

That's PART of what he believes in. The rest of it, the wanting to pull out of NATO, the UN, etc., regardless of it can happen or not, bugs me.

To be fair though he sees organizations such as the United Nations, NATO, NAFTA, the WTO, etc. as organizations that limit American soverignty. Not because he disagrees for what they stand for.

Thats why we have party nominees....Its basically being told who to vote for...when was the last time a non party nominee got into the white house?

and so you think after the parties have picked their nominees then your vote matters, but not before?

Considering the election isn't untill after the party nominees have been selected.....in a way...Yes....

I'm not saying he doesnt have good ideas and Im not saying he isnt what the country needs which is probably the case...what I am saying is that I am not going to throw my vote away on someone who wont even come in third in the voting come Election day

Because he is very anti gay and anti choice. I will vote for who i want to vote for. isn't that pretty logical????

It is obvious that the world's richest families currently have the upper hand in all big decision making. Think of it this way, if you were one rich mofo would you give up your money and power to someone you don't know? These families have all the voting and nominating rigged, so that in the end they stay rich and powerful. A person like Ron Paul doesn't stand a chance. That is exactly why America is no longer the home of the free. The only people that can topple the 'guiding hands' are the rest of the people of the world, the hard working, tax paying people. But unless everyone wakes up from the illusion that the world is currently living in, nothing is gonna change and it will get worse and worse. I for one, have lost all hope for humanity and I can't wait until everything resets itself.

Throw your vote away  How can you be throwing your vote away? I don't know about all the other posters on here but I don't go to the polling booths to try and pick the winner. I believe you would be throwing your vote away by not voting on someone who will straighten this country out.

I find myself getting jaded just like you from time to time. There are many Americans who don't really know just how bad its gotten. We are on the verge of an economic collapse. I'm not saying that its going to happen tomorrow, but it will be 10x worse than the first great depression. The Federal Reserve will keep printing money and hold the dollars value at the same level just long enough to line their pockets, sell out America and move out of the country.

All Americans have to do is conduct some research on our monetary policy. Unless we all wake up collectivley and take the country back, mark my words, this country will implode on itself.

It would be more logical if you researched his postions properly. Technically, he is less anti gay and less anti choice then the other republican candidates. He believes in states rights, which is what our country was founded on, this would allow states to decide emotional social issues.

What this means:
If the people of California want to legalize gay marriage and abortion within their state lines, they are more than welcome to do so. If Georgia wants to illegalize gay marriage and abortion, then they are more than welcome to do so. He doesn't believe the federal government should be making sweeping laws for or against emotional social issues. Instead, he believes it should be left up to the people of America to decide what goes on within their state lines.

This speech is Ronald Regan telling Americans what exactly is wrong with the country in 1964. I urge everyone to watch it because of the parrallels between then and now. Virtually nothing has changed with regards to America since this speech. Except your dollar is not worth .45 on the dollar anymore, its worth .04 on the dollar. Does he sound like the neo-cons in control of the party today, which champion him. Or does he sound like current presidential candidate Ron Paul.

yeah, that's why the southern states should've been able to keep their slaves.
I mean, people were so emotional about it a freaking war broke out ( yes I know there were other factors) and the people of America could've spoken.
also, we'd still have entrances labeled "colored" in some places, but the states would've decided.

pretty straight forward don't ya'll think?

Yeah a war broke out and that is solved, we don't have "colored" labels in places right now. Do you think that the federal government made that happen or the people of America?

Dude, slavery is so yesterday. Let it go. We need to concentrate on the future! :D
