To me amazing spider man and a very close second man of steel. Iron man is by far the most overrated CBM ever has it is a ok to bad movie. Thor is just ok and hulk is bad. I don't really fell that great about any of these movies though has batman begins is miles better then all of these movies.

Incredible Hulk is just barely an origin film. BTW, this **** happened and made Hulk, now Act I w/ Edward Norton.
I fail to see how you think Iron Man is bad but oh well, I'm not a Iron Man fan boy.
I do feel Batman has the biggest pay off, his first moment in the suit at the docks... WOW! Plus it just felt so organic, everything transitioned and flowed together. Where everyone else felt like a basic act 1 - origin, act 2 - does stuff, act 3 - finale. Begins of course followed that but the character is still in the making. He doesn't have the costume right away, he loses to the Scarecrow, he had to be schooled by Ra's yet again.

Oh, much better I'd say. BB loses serious points for Katie Holmes and the terribly conceived Rachel Dawes character, IMO. I still very much like BB and I'd say it's easily the best DC film since S:TM.

IM1 is still my favorite superhero film to date. I've never had a movie knock my socks off quite as well as that movie did.

It was the origin itself that elevated BB. Training in the mountain with ninjas? Amazing, given how I believed origins were always a chore to get through. Iron Man isn't my favorite, but it certainly isn't a bad origin. It was the villain and everything after Tony returning from captivity that I didn't like,

Iron Man, though I don't feel any of them (including Iron Man) come close to Begins.

Probably GotG or MOS for me.

Man of Steel - 7.5/10
Guardians of the Galaxy - 7.5/10
Iron Man - 7/10
Thor - 7/10
Amazing Spider-Man - 7/10
X-Men First Class - 6.5/10
Captain America - 6.5/10
Incredible Hulk - 5.5/10
Green Lantern - 4/10

and I'd give Batman Begins an 8.5 or 9.

Sorry it can't be as good as masterpieces like Dark Knight Rises and ASM 2.

Cap.

And I like every movie in the poll more than Batman Begins. The action sequences in that movie are so bad I can barely tell what the hell is happening.

Actually so do I except for Amazing Spider-Man. I also agree the action was pretty subpar for a Superhero movie. That being said, I found despite the poor action it has a solid narrative and the characters were enjoyable. It made very hopeful for future films in the series.

My favorite of the bunch is MOS followed by Thor. Cap and Iron Man tie for me with IH trailing just a little behind but I also feel its not an origin film.

Man of Steel and Amazing Spider-Man's origin stories = Same as Superman the movie and Raimi's Spider-Man...but boringer (if that is a word).

More dull or bland are the words you're looking for. And I agree.

Iron Man
The First Avenger
Thor
Man of Steel
The Incredible Hulk
Amazing Spider-Man

More duller and blandererer, got it :oldrazz:

But yeah, Spider-Man came out in 2002, and most people have seen it. It was too early to show us the same story all over again. Amazing Spider-Man is okay, but it would have been better if they just skipped the origin.

Man of Steel...we haven't seen the origin story since 1978. But come on, every single person on this earth knows how it all began. And their pets too.

Iron Man. In fact I think IM is better than Batman Begins.

Not even close.

BB had better character development; a more menacing, fascinating, and just straight up memorable villain; a stronger supporting cast; FAR better, more unique plot twists and a much more gripping climax.

^Disagreed on all those points but hey, movies are subjective.

Iron Man may have more merits, but I enjoy Cap 1 more. It totally nails the character and it has a pretty touching ending. A more memorable third act than Iron Man's, I'd say.

I enjoy both of those more than Batman Begins, and I really liked Batman Begins. I'd put BB ahead of Thor's origin movie(slightly) or either Spider-man origin movie and well ahead of MoS. It's strange why OP picked such an arbitrary starting point to measure from. There have been better origin movies before and after BB as well as worse ones before and after. OP must just be a big Batman fan, I guess.

Iron Man followed very, very closely by Man of Steel and then Captain America. I love all 3, the latter I've come to appreciate greatly over the past 3 years.

If you included ALL origin films in this poll,
what ranks as the best one ?

Batman Begins has been regarded as the best and most influential origin film for years, and with good reason, it's simply much better written, directed, performed, and overall executed than any other film of the genre, with the exception of its flawless. revolutionary sequel.

I'd still say Iron Man, but Superman: The Movie would likely be my runner up. That is if I'm not considering The Avengers itself as an origin movie, albeit a team origin. Otherwise it would be #2 and S:TM would be #3. CA:TFA would be #4 and BB #5 with Thor coming in at #6.

Some people think so and they're welcome to continue doing so, about both movies. Others don't. Depends on who you ask. You could literally say that about any movie on this poll as well as the one's left off of it. All that matters really is what you think, and I'm using you in the general sense of the word.
