Superman: The Movie
It's nicely assembled without the use of non-linear, flashback story telling, something all too common with today's modern superhero movies. From Krypton to Kansas to Metropolis it's brilliantly scripted and flows very nicely. There's something really magical about the first Superman film and I feel that most of that magic occurs in the first act of the film. I love the Brando stuff, I love the dialogue. The Kent's finding baby Kal-El and the scene with him lifting the Kent's vehicle is just fantastic. The scene with Jeff East as the teenage Clark Kent along with Glenn Ford as Pa Kent was wonderful and moving. Then that shot from the initial trailer of Superman flying in the Fortress of Solitude really completes the telling of the character's origin with a great pay off.
