What made you happy today? - Part 1

Just finished writing a really important scene in which the prior draft version kind of sucked lol. This version works A LOT better and has some AWESOME subtext behind it which finally adds in the tension I want and leads to things to come without revealing too much. Other than that, the history of OSWALD THE RABBIT (yes, that rabbit) seems to be SET.

Locked out of my apartment, literally took some hedge trimmers and destroyed my door knob completely because getting a lock smith would be more expensive then getting a new door handle with a lock around here honestly aha.

While I was doing this act, my housemate walked in and saw 6 foot man in a hood at 1 am with hedge trimmers trying to bust the door handle off...

She understood and all and was super cool with it cause it was the only thing i could do for the best financially, but the thought of me walking home and seeing that same thing would make me poop my pants, so....not the event, but the afterthoughts is what made me happy today aha.

If it makes you feel any better, I was the exact same when I first read the scene in the book. Had to stop for the rest of the day.

If anything I'm really just "happy" that a pivotal moment like this translated so well to the show where it very easily could have been screwed up.

You'll feel better in season 4.

This was actually yesterday, but I took my dog out for his morning walk - extremely hot and muggy where we are visiting. On the trail I realized he was not behind me, so I turned and saw him on the side, sniffing at something with a big ol' wagging tail.....Turned out he found a new friend....a great big box turtle! It was pretty funny and cool to watch my dog with the not-so-amused turtle!
