I wonder if it's possible to go a whole day without someone bringing up Batman when discussing TASM2
Why do I get the impression the Sony hackers who are intent on bringing down Sony Entertainment are either Marvel in disguise, Disney in disguise or a Spider-Man fan in disguise.

Because, like most of the masses, you underestimate the power of Victor Domashev!![]()

I'm surprised the hack documents didn't contain a PowerPoint about sony's future Spider-Man plans
Sony is in bad shape. They are never giving up their Spider-Man film rights back to marvel. It's like their only franchise.
At the same time though, they may be very discouraged to take the risk of launching spinoff films. I just hope that they're current position pushes them to take Disney's alleged partnership deal seriously (if such talks of rumor actually are happening)
I hope for the same too; I think it's one of the best ways to rekindle in an interest in Spider-Man again. The only problems I see are the general audience asking why Spider-Man hasn't been in these Marvel films before, what's happened to the TASM film series and what this means for future Spidey appearances in the MCU.
Stan Lee recently mentioned how Marvel are wanting to do a massive movie crossover, that means potentially involving the X-Men and Spidey (not the F4, no-one cares about them) so there might be a lot of behind-the-scenes negotiations right now that we may not be aware about.
I think if that was to happen, Sony should end their TASM trilogy (I really want Andrew to have another chance at a potentially great Spider-Man film if Sony do end up learning from their mistakes), Fox go ahead with their X-Men: Apocalypse film and then have these characters introduced into the MCU afterwards. We are already going to be overwhelmed by a lot of new characters to the MCU in Phase 3 so if there's a Phase 4 happening, that's where we might see other non-Disney Marvel characters making an appearance, even if it is with a brand new X-Men or Spidey cast.
Right now there's a 42 year old overweight out of work fanboy hacker in his Spider-Man onesey barricading himself in his mom's basement in Hoboken New Jersey.

My dream position for X-men in the MCU is that it'd be established as an alternate universe to the MCU. As for the F4, i think there's a good chance that they'll be back at marvel in a year. As for spidey, I'd love for andrew to get another shot at him, but I think it's more important for spidey to join the MCU; for the greater good of the franchise. It definitely will renew public interest in spidey, and I don't think there will be too much confusion with a new spidey in the GA as long as they don't rush into concepts that directly contradict the TASM series right off the bat. I feel like they should use TASM as a loose backstory for peter (he'd be with MJ but they can subtly hint that he had a previous relationship that ended gravely. They can leave Harry out of the picture for a while and have flash be peter's guy friend for a while), and then once the public is totally into the new spidey and forgets about the last series, they can do what they want.
X-Men won't end after Apocalypse. They have Deadpool coming and a planned Gambit movie and General audience don't care about Spidey being in other movies
The public is into the current Spidey. You don't get $700 Mil + with no interest.
As for F4 there isn't a good chance it the rights going anywhere. fox has them until 2020 regards of how he film performs and if they opt to sell them to Marvel Marvel won't buy as they won't be able to fit them in until 2020 when they'd get them for free
I think it's too late for that. A crime boss better well over a span of movies, IMO. Spidey taking on his street thugs in the origin movie, moving his way up as his skills progress. Final showdown in TASM 3, wish they would have went that route instead of this Spider-Man Sinister 6 Universe mumbo jumbo.- Introduce street level gangs like Hammerhead, Silvermane, or Tombstone and have them be the source of new criminals. Harry's in jail, let him stay there for a film or two.
2 things:
1. That happened in Raimi's series. Harry got redemption.
2. When you look at TASM2 and from the GA's point of view, giving redemption to the guy who killed Gwen is like giving redemption to the Joker after he killed Rachael.

already beeing disscussed in the general thread
what were the concluding comments?
well, everyone is speculating about it and some excitement, also there is more info we are disscussing
Did you real what the deal was? Sony would still have creative control over the character. Marvel was smart for turning it down, it was a terrible offer. With Sony's offer to share Spider-Man, he'd be in the MCU and both studios would profit but alas Marvel declined to play ball and screwed over the dreams of their fans.
At least now people can stop going on saying Sony should make a deal with Marvel since they tried
