Given that Spider-Man 3 and GotG have/will outgross both films in this series, what are the chances we won't see a dance number in the third film?:halo:

This time we get a musical. Complete with a SONY sound system. In a bar with SONY tv's, and people recording Pete with their SONY phones. :oldrazz:

We already got a Musical.

Ironically it was as much of a disaster as TASM2.

Could be worse. Could end the series with Gwen alive and telling Peter they are having twins instead of a child.

DAMN IT DEL TORO!!!! GET ON HELLBOY 3!!!! SOMEONE'S GOTTA GREENLIGHT IT!!!! IN AN AGE OF SUPERHEROES YOU'RE TELLING ME NO STUDIOS WANTS TO GREENLIGHT A SUPERHERO FILM!!!!

How would that be bad?

That would create Spider minions.

I said in the other thread they should split TASM3 into 2 parts for the Sinister Six story. I think it's the only logical thing to do at this point.

Fixed.

If Spidey does go back to Disney/Marvel, this is the one guy I don't want anywhere near him. He makes Arad look like a boy scout. Quesadilla is a cancer.

Quesada is in Marvel's TV division, not film.

Yes, but we actually know that Fantastic Four is happening, because y'know... it's finished filming.

Sinister Six would have to start filming in 2015, yet nobody has talked about it. We don't even know who the cast is... is Dane returning? Giamatti? We don't know... nobody knows.

To be fair, if it's not out until Nov 2016 then it doesn't need to start filming until Nov 2015, nor cast until next summer.

You and I share a common dream. :word:

I have to admit that a Spider-Man tv show on Netflix (like Daredevil) might be cool. At least it sounds interesting since Dardevil seems to be more like a movie split in multiple parts than a cheap Superhero tv show(like Arrow, Flash, Smalville...).
But It better not be like "The Ultimate Spider-Man" cartoon: Spider-Man works better alone.

As far as I'm concerned, I really like TASM1 and TASM2. They are good action-superhero movies. BUT when I can't keep hating SONY for what they have done to each movie ... Poor Marc Webb, poor Andrew .
So ... They are cool movies for Spider-Man fans like me, but still not GREAT superhero films like Batman Begins, Iron Man, Avengers.
Why ? Because of SONY man !! Always deleting cool and important things from the original script/first cut.

Anyway ... I hope we will hear news about Spiderman soon.

They don't have the budget or the positioning, but otherwise I would agree with this.

Technically ASM 3 is already being split into two parts with a 2 year gap between movies because the events of S6 lead directly into ASM 3. Also Sony absolutely can fund both movies. Whatever Sony's current problems entail, lack of funds is not one of them. Sony as a corporation is struggling but Sony Pictures is actually turning a profit.

Guys, don't be Chicken Littles. If anything, the WB and Marvel announcements should get Sony closer to manning up and decide their course of action. Which isn't likely to be "Let's call everything off", now that every studio and their moms is mapping out long term plans. They won't want to be left out, even less with one of the most popular superhero franchises under their belt. WB can announce a Green Lantern reboot but Sony can't do anything with ****ing Spider-Man? Please.

We don't want Sinister Six! or any other damn spin off! we want first and formost a damn good Spider-Man movie! and if Sony can't deliver on the goods, then it's time for them to GTFO! and give the rights back to Marvel, where they belong :cmad:

That hasn't stopped Sony the corporation from slashing the operating budget of Sony Pictures. The studio has reduced the number of movies they make, relocated their special effects operations to Canada, and laid off hundreds of employees.

well you need dancing in a spider-man movie

I actually do want a Sinister Six. I keep scratching my head about why some still think it's a bad idea. Spidey villains are cool, anti-hero storytelling is cool, team-ups are cool. Seems pretty simple.

sony own one of marvels biggest and most popular comic book characters and if they lose spider-man they are never getting him back so with that in mind its kinda absurd to expect sony to happily give spider-man back to marvel

you can look at it as a fan or you can look at it through the power hungry eyes of sony

Antiheroes? Since when are the villains in the Sinister 6 not straight up villains? Wolverine is an antihero, Punisher is an antihero Deadpool is an antihero.

villains don't have to be anti heroes but each villain still can have their own story

i always thought you could tell a villains story in the spider-man universe and by the end you would have built them up in a way where you can be how strong they are and then in the next spider-man movie you will know what spider-man will be facing next and if its done well there will be alot of hype behind it

its another way of doing it rather then doing 4 to 6 movies on separate villains before doing the sinister 6, there isn't enough variation for storys really to build up each villain and keep the audience interest

I know, right?

Basically on the big screen I've wanted to see;
Doc Ock
Lizard
Mysterio
Sinister Six

I've seen the first 2 and there is a possibility I get to see the last two in the next two years. And I'm not supposed to want that because I'm supposed to want a 5 minute Spider-Man cameo in a Marvel movie. Whatever.

If it were up to some people on this board Fox would have handed over the rights (free of charge) for the X-Men after X-3 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine and we wouldn't have got X-Men first class, a movie that I think is better than EVERY SINGLE Marvel Studios movie.

Marvel have mapped out FIVE FREAKING YEARS worth of movies. If they got the rights to Spider-Man where would that leave Spider-Man? Cameos and guest appearances, that's where. ****! THAT!!

'Maybe' I could be down with a Marvel produced TV series but to be honest I haven't been that impressed with S.H.I.E.L.D. Flash is a way better TV series.

So no, I am not desperate for Spidey to join Marvel. If it happens it happens but I'm not clamouring for it.

"Antiheroes" in the sense that they're the "heroes" of the story, but not heroes in the strictest sense, or at all in this case. Just like The Godfather, The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, etc., can tell stories about amoral characters and still have it be compelling. The way the villain-centric chapters in the Game of Thrones books are compelling. I think that's perfectly possible with the Sinister Six.

Right on. Suddenly, a shared universe is the best these movies can aspire to.
