The world would suffer a difficult loss at losing one of the most prominent leaders of the 21st century. However, after a period of grief, the planet would move forward.

In all likelihood, Cheney's health would preclude him from taking the office. I think Condoleeza Rice is next in line. It's also possible that maybe Rumsfield would lead this country into its next phase.
