4/5

I don't get all the hate towards this film, I guess most of those people wanted a fourth LotR. :oldrazz: Only real complaints were the CGI used for the white orc, they should have used makeup and prosthetics and the fact that I have to wait a full year for the second film. I wish they would release them six months apart instead. Would give each film more than enough time to get it's money at the BO.

Can't wait for part 2. :yay:

The lead trio manage to deliver some entertaining moments amidst the crass Michael Bay humour and none existent plot. 5.5/10

I don't like horror movies but this was an entertaining riff on the genre that was both smart and fun with an ending I wasn't expecting. 8/10

I thought it was kinda sweet. :O Plus Rachel McAdams. :hrt: 7/10

The Hobbit.

Probably a decent 7/10. Possibly made a bit underwhelming purely because the first three were so good.

Also The Hobbit for me. I enjoyed it, even though the beginning dragged and it was in no way was as good as LOTR...but few things are.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

It was pretty incredible. I love how I was re-reading the book recently and I stopped right when this film stopped. I loved every minute Azog was on screen, if they didn't added him to the story people would be thinking that there isn't a real threat on the journey. There's lots of great moments but The Moria battle was my favorite moment in the film with 2nd being seeing the Necromancer and the Witch King.

Also I saw this in 3D 48 fps, I got to say at first I wasn't feeling it. I think it was because I wasn't expecting how it would play out and at first it did feel it was going too fast but once the dwarves showed up in Bilbo's house I got used to it. I honestly think 3D 48 fps works extremely well with CG characters and wide shots. It was really like seeing it in real life, it was like you were there experiencing their journey. It actually makes me want to see what Cameron will do with Avatar 2 (seeing it's mostly CG characters/landscapes) because THAT will be something to see in this format.

9/10

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - 9/10

I loved
the Goblin King's final line, but more importantly, Bilbo's sparing of Gollum. It really put into perspective how pitiful Gollum had become, and showed Bilbo's internal strength.

Midnight in Paris
I love Woody Allen movies and time travel. Oh this marriage was wonderful.

Rise of the Guardians
Nice Christmas film, but the guardians were a little unlikable. Also Pitch Black was very Lokish!

Surviving Christmas
Goofy Affleck was hilarious. That Affleck, haha.

Well, I saw the Hobbit on Friday, loved it and It's A Wonderful Life on the big screen on Saturday. It's great to see Frank Capra's classic in the theater as opposed to a tint TV screen.

That line was pretty funny because of how deadpan it was, no over the top delivery, just a pretty understated line delivery, which I think is just what it needed.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 10/10- Great fun

Fellowship of the Ring
10/10
I only saw it once when it was newly released on DVDs, found it kinda boring back then

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier - 6/10

Honestly, not the worst Star Trek film. That belongs to the first. At least **** actually happened and there were some strong scenes in the middle to hold it together.

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country - 8/10

It's hard, I might put this over VI just a tiny bit. I loved the story and the mystery within it. A good final send off for the original crew.

American Gangster - 9/10

This is what Heat and Public Enemies should have been.
