Into Darkness
While I disliked rehashing elements from Wrath of Khan, Into Darkness is a fun popcorn flick filled with bright characters, jaw-dropping sound and visual effects with justifiable action. I hope for the third installment J.J. Abrams warp speeds into new and unfamiliar territory.

Man on the Moon
I still think this is one of Jim Carrey's best performances today. I always get misty-eyed by the time the credits roll.

Feeding Frenzy
There's a lot wrong with this movie on a technical level, but it does manage hold some entertainment value.

Lolita
Kubrick presents a ''forbidden fruit'' and plays around with it in a dark, but comedic tone. Also, once again, I never noticed Peter Sellers on screen. Guess he is really the man of a thousand faces. "Lolita Ya Ya"

Simon Killer
Simon Killer is an interesting character study of a male who travels to Paris after a bad break-up. The cinematography brings a sense curiosity to Simons surroundings; you never feel you can trust the area you're in - kind of like the character!

We Bought a Zoo
An odd film. At it's core, this is a harmless and sometimes a goofy picture. But, somehow, Crowe managed to tug at my heartstrings at the right beats.

Hangover Part III
Part III links all three films up nicely, but this installment gets to a certain point where simplicity is tossed out the window for complex stunts that removes any element of danger. Zach Galifianakis is the only real saving grace. Alan is still a solid character that's wonderfully executed, but I felt Cooper and Helms were an afterthought.

Take the Money and Run
Allen's directing debut is a bright start to a wonderful career that continues today. Take the Money and Run is an 85mim joke-feast through a mockumentary.

ParaNorman
ParaNorman is funny, smart and looks tremendous. This is a film that deserves more attention – especially for teenagers at the Halloween season.

Full Metal Jacket
At first I laughed at the dark humor (pointed towards Leonard), and the dialogue spouted from Hartman. But that smile disappeared once the pillow scene began. Full Metal Jacket hits hard as it exposes the effects of war on the mind. The cinematography is near-perfect. The camera is locked off in stunning, but simple compositions, and moves only when it makes sense to do so.

Men in Black
Men in Black still holds up very nicely, except for Linda Fiorentino's acting.

The Untouchables

Finally got around watching this for the first time, I loved every minute of this. Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, and Robert De Niro were terrific, I think Niro might be my 2nd favorite Capone portrayal after Stephen Graham. Loved Ennio Morricone's jazz centric score, I wish more crime/gangster films today could use some jazz. Overall it's now one of my favorite films, can't wait to see it again later on.
10/10

Fleischer went for a pulpy, almost comic book tone, and it worked for me. 8/10

Mission: Impossible III (2006)
Star Trek (2009)
Super 8 (2011)
Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)

See what I did there?

Raising Arizona

Sad to say it was my first time watching it. I adored it.

After Earth

Six years after appearing on the big screen together in the great The Pursuit of Happyness
Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith team up again in the not so great After Earth.

After Earth is not as bad as some of the zero star reviews i skimmed over. There are some exciting
and fun moments.
For the most part to many scenes are beyond repetitive, drawn out and predictable.
I know Will Smith was portraying a stern, military father, but for 90% of the film he displays
the same scowl and pissed off look,so much so its a relief when he smiles or shows some other type of
emotion. If they ever cast a fifth or sixth Terminator film,Will is their man.
Jaden Smith fares better in his role,at least he wasnt as obnoxious as he was in The Day the Earth
Stood Still.
Im not sure who's idea was it for the characters to have odd semi-southern accents, that drop in and out

My 10 year old enjoyed After Earth far more than i did,but by the time the film reaches it's last 20 minutes
even he was hoping the film would get on with it already.

Scale of 1-10 a 6½

:applaud:
About time, and the most fitting score

Oz, very well done. 8/10.

Trouble with the Curve
6/10

Drive

I actually think this film might be perfect.

I love Drive. The style, the music, the acting just all came together.

Die Hard
Movie proved itself with every passing scene to be better, even with my doubt 1/3 way through
definitely won't have doubts when I watch it another time later
Easy 'A' for this one, a perfect 10/10

'Jack the Giant Slayer'

It was okay I guess. Although someone should have told Bill Nighy that his voice for Fallon was too alike to his Davy Jones.

7/10-Other than being insanely close to the original in story, plot and characters this film is still a good fun action flick.
