X-men Days of Future Past

An unbelievable achievement, it's easily the best X-Men film by FAR. It not only give you a well crafted time travel movie, it manages to set rights to all the wrongs in this franchise. This is what Star Trek reboot movies wished it wanted to be. The way they go back to the future and past was handled perfectly. While the story centers solely on Wolverine, Mystique, both Xavier's and Magnetos (which is utterly fantastic), it gives you enough for the other mutants to show off their powers and especially team work. I love the fact we comicbook get another period piece superhero movie, they always hook me in. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender really pushed the envelope with their characters after First Class, it build on it rather than give you the same ol same ol. Mystique is the driving force behind this movie and Jennifer Lawrence did a much better job in this than in First Class. I can't really point out a bad actor in this, they all stepped up their game. Overall this really makes me look forward to the next X-Men films more than ever. This hopefully convinces most fans that this property doesn't need to revert back to Marvel, it's better if it stays with Fox. It's got more than enough characters to go around. Also this and Captain America: TWS just makes Amazing Spider-Man 2 look even worse, while these two films are breaking new ground, Spider-man is still stuck back in the mid 90s. Overall, X-Men DoFP is one of the best movies of the year, I hope I can see it again in the theater.
9.5/10

Mission Impossible 4 - 8/10

a low budget film about a robot called project valkyrie

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Best cleanup of a messy franchise ever.

Godzilla. Screw the haters.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

It was a "Scrooged" type of film where they take the original concept of being visited by three ghosts to show someone see the error of their ways to correct their future before it's too late.

In this case, he's visited by his "first" and then shown all the ways he's been going about life wrong with women.

Unlike Scrooged, this did not adapt the original Dickens story as entertainingly but it was still not a horrible film, although it did star pre-True Detective Matthew McConaughey in it, he wasn't terrible either. And it had Emma Stone, Michael Douglas and a few other notable names in it. There are a few really good scenes but it mostly lived up to being trite.

Rob Zombie's Halloween II (Director's Cut)

I haven't seen this since around the time it came out, and now I'm reminded why. Rob sure did try something different, but it's a mess.

Aside from Brad Dourif's 'Sheriff Brackett' and his daughter 'Annie' played by Danielle Harris, there really is no one else that is likeable in this movie.

Ah hell, Michael should have just killed them all. 4/10

The cast gives it their best, but a fun premise is wasted on a story way too dull to recommend. I was crestfallen when it became clear most of the movie was going to take place in the same drab apartment. Even with how short it is, the characters mostly just run out the clock until their inevitable act-three epiphanies.

A lot funnier than I remember. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum work really well together. Though, I'm not too sure a sequel was needed. We'll see.

At the movie theater: X-Men DOFP

On TV: Sin City

The LEGO Movie
A generic movie, with the added fun of them being lego pieces
Up until they show Will Ferrell's character and his son
I hate how they treated Superman and Green Lantern here
