FANTASTIC movie. If you like low budget thrillers, mockumentary-style, this was incredible. Very enjoyable and kept you guessing all the way through to the credits.

I'm watching this now

The Banshee Chapter

So far, freaking creepy. Seems like it could be great.

Anyone here seen the snail movie Turbo? It's streaming on Netflix and was wondering if it was worth my time. Is it a good animated film or forgettable?

3.5/5 I still really like this one and don't agree with a lot of the criticisms it received.

Watched Dumb & Dumber for the first time since the 90s. Now following it up with the Mask. That New Line Cinema logo opening these movies gave me goosebumps.

I was forced to watch it at work and nearly fell asleep during the middle of it. It was lackluster at best, for me.

My only issue with this film was how dry Khan was. Other than that I liked the story.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Repligator. As horrible as it was, I'd be able to watch this again. Unlike The Bloody Ape, which I never want to see again. Ever.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Adding up what to be probably the best summer for movies since 2008, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was incredible. Matt Reeves manages to make a sequel that not only works but added much depth to the characters. The story isn't anything new, yet it's still effective. Andy Serkis was phenomenal as Caesar and the show stealer goes to Toby Kebbell as Koba. Every time Koba shows up, it's always fascinating. I thought if there's any weak point, it would be the human side of it, it's good, but nowhere as interesting as the apes. WETA did a knockout job on the special effects, it's probably their best work yet. Overall, it's one of the best of the year.
9.5/10

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 10/10

A thrilling, emotional, and captivating sequel to the successful reboot of a long-dead and yet much beloved series. With a fantastic script, visually stunning CGI, the return of Andy Serkis as Caesar, and bringing Let Me In director Matt Reeves on board, Dawn (as of now) surpasses every other movie made this year. I may still be on the high this movie left me in, but I seriously fail to find any major complaints with this movie. Keri Russell and Kodi Smit-McPhee are two powerful actors in their own right (have you ****ing seen The Road or Let Me In?) and could have been used on screen more, but that is my only complaint for this movie. Jason Clarke proves himself worthy of a leading role, but do not confuse that for Serkis' role as Caesar. Serkis is Caeser. Serkis is the lead. Because of Serkis' ability as an actor and his revolutionizing of Motion Capture, Caesar comes to life. WETA has outdone themselves here, too. Their determination and dedication to the liveliness of the Apes rivals Serkis'. I'm rambling, but I have so many thoughts about this perfect movie. I mean, that's what it is, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is a perfect movie. 10/10
