An alien boulder from outer space turns a bulldozer into a killer, no one thinks to just drive away and leave the dig site behind given the dozer is slow as hell and they have access to several much quicker vehicles. This was on 73 minutes, which was 72 minutes too long. 0/10

It's a car that molests kids, but the film doesn't bother to explain how or whether it has a driver, instead it spends 40 minutes on a chase full of the same reused shots of the mother in her school bus chasing it to save her daughter...........At this point I only have myself to blame. 2/10

You know, I think I seen that Wheels of Terror a long time ago! Long time ago.

Halloween (1978)

Carpenter rewrites the serial killer archetype in what is arguably the most important movie of the slasher genre despite the films production flaws.

Zombie Fight Club

Utter trash, and not the so bad it's good kind. Bad acting, awful CGI blood and just cringe worthy overall. Andy On was the best thing about this piece of ****. 2/10

Inherent Vice

Definitely not as great as i thought it would be but Joaquin Phoenix is great as stoner P.I Larry "Doc" Sportello.
When his ex girlfriend drops a missing persons case in his lap it all leads to a twisty multi layered plot with quirky characters.
The first half of the film is great but when it reaches its middle so many characters and threads are thrown in i wonder
if Director Paul Thomas Anderson wanted the audience to be in a drug induced haze like some of the characters in the film.
PTA brings it all around to a fine finish in the last 40 minutes, but the middle of the films long drawn out moments still distract from
it.The actors in the film which include Josh Brolin, Reese Witherspoon, Michael K. Williams, Benicio del Toro, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short and Katherine Waterston do a fine job,but this is the first PTA lengthy film where at times i started to feel every lingering minute.

Scale of 1-10 a 7½

Unbroken

The incredible true life story of Louis "Louie" Zamperini (brilliantly played by Jack O'Connell)is brought to the big screen by Director Angelina Jolie.
Jolie wonderfully captures Zamperini's Olympic fame, his time as a World War 2 bombardier, and some of the films best emotional and suspenseful
moments are when Zamperini and two other crew members are lost t sea for 47 days. Then facing brutal after brutal moment from
a relentlessly cruel and cold Japanese guard, named Mutsuhiro "Bird" Watanabe(unflinchingly portrayed by Miyavi)
Whats lacking in the film is a good balance of human drama against the brutality in the film.I could definitely tell a lot of
the human drama was left on the editing room floor.

Scale of 1-10 an 8

The Unholy Three (1925)

Not only stars Lon Chaney but it also features Harry Earles from Tod Browning's Freaks.
Seeing one dressed in drag and the other dressed up as a baby is pretty funny. I nearly died of laughter seeing Earles with a cigar in his mouth wearing a toy fireman's helmet. (I swear he had to be the inspiration for the Baby Herman character from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.) Browning really nails the suspense throughout the movie especially in the toy elephant scene. The camera trick used during the "ape" scene at the end seems almost revolutionary for the time period. Great reveal during the courtroom confession and a happy ending of sorts.
While it's not my favorite Browning film it's certainly an entertaining story and worth checking out if you're a fan of either Chaney or Browning.

The Black Bird (1926)

This movie features the combination of Tod Browning and Lon Chaney and is not to be missed. Chaney's character is a notorious thief called The Blackbird who pretends to be his own twin, a crippled missionary known as The Bishop. Not the first time I've seen him play a character with a secondary identity, which he does brilliantly in this film. The supporting cast really shine in this movie especially Renée Adorée and Owen Moore who play The Blackbird's love interest and rival, respectively. Great ending and a really beautiful score by Robert Israel.
