A Ghost Story

Loved it. While it may look or sound like some horror movie, it's not. And it's not for everyone. It's a quiet little poetic tale of a ghost and it's memories. At the beginning, I was a bit hesitant of where it was going with the story, but it hooked me soon right after. Cinematography wise, it's one of the most gorgeous looking films this year... which is insane to think because of the limited locations they shot in. The music was also great. Casey Affleck and especially Rooney Mara were at their best here. After Pete's Dragon and this, I can't wait to see what David Lowery does next.
9/10

The Silence of the Lambs - 9/10

I really can't remember watching this all the way through. Hopkins as Lecter is incredibly fascinating to watch and the plot is never dull or meandering.

Has this hit home video yet? I've been waiting for what seems like forever to see this movie. I imagine there's very little dialogue correct?

Baby Driver.

Some cringey moments aside, I thought it was great. The cinematography, the creative script, and in particular, the way the chases were filmed, were amazing. Puts most action movies to shame. Now I really really want him to do a Flash movie.

Also, this was the first time I've seen Lily James and I thought she was really great. Can we get her in a superhero movie?

Finally checked out Magnificent Seven(2016). I know critics and audiences were mixed on it, but I really enjoyed it.

A Night at the Opera (1935)

Better story structure than some of their other films but their same chaotic brand of comedy that stands the test of time. I love the sequence where Groucho checks into his cabin it leads up to one of the funniest scenes ever.

This Is Spinal Tap (1984)

Few comedies have casting as good as this the cameos alone are tremendous. Brilliant that it was almost entirely improvised but is still so incredibly funny and very quotable.

Rewatched TIST just a couple of weeks ago. I saw it at the cinema with my dad when it first came out and it's still every bit as side-splittingly funny as it was then!

Kingsman - Just saw this, and I actually enjoyed it. The action sequences were as great as ever, and the reasoning for bringing back Firth's character wasn't as absurd as I thought it was gonna be. Not as good as the first, a bit too overstuffed and long, but a solid enough follow-up nonetheless. I wouldn't mind another installment. - 7 / 10
