Surprised by how much I enjoyed this and how well it adapted the material. A shame it got lost in the shuffle last summer and will likely not continue as a series.

Celebrating Iron Man's 10th anniversary, Day 3

THE AVENGERS
Quality = 9/10
Joy = 10/10​

Aesthetically it does look like a TV show, thankfully it did not reduce the quality of special effects. And the cinematography is not all that great.
But in the words of Bob Chipman (also known as MovieBob); it is true that is really that good.


How I rate them as far as joy goes this turn:

1. Captain America: The First Avenger - 5/5 Shields
2. The Incredible Hulk ------------------- 5/5 Gamma smashes
3. The Avengers ------------------------- 5/5 Shawarma
4. Iron Man 2 ---------------------------- 4.75/5 Shellheads
5. Iron Man ------------------------------ 4.5/5 Shellheads
6. Thor ----------------------------------- 4/5 Mjolnirs

And thus, I am through watching phase 1.

Stars Audrey Hepburn, Anthony Perkins, Lee J. Cobb, Henry Silva, and Sessue Hayakawa.

At turn of the century, a revolutionary (Perkins) flees into the Amazon jungle in search of gold. He finds instead Rima, the bird girl. Feared by the natives as an evil spirit (because she keeps them from hunting her beloved animals in her part of the jungle) she saves Perkin's life after he is bitten by a poisonous snake. Local tribal warrior (Silva) wants her dead...Perkins falls in love with her and fights to save her.

Based on a novel written 1904.....in 1970 DC comics gave the female character her own comic titled RIMA THE JUNGLE GIRL.

Quality = 9/10
Joy = 10/10​

It's the official start of Phase 2, but it's still an ideal conclusion for phase 1.
This is still my favorite Iron Man movie, and in the words of a good dude; "It is a great conclusion for Tony Stark's character arc"
