Detachment

Powerful and moving story about the lives of school teachers and students. It becomes a philosophical journey and while that is great, it becomes too bleak and depressing.

The Lorax

Another one of these animated films where the plot is too simplistic so they add musical numbers and have scenes where it just buys time until it hits the climax. It's a shame this is a Dr. Seuss movie, it just feels too thin that got boring half way through.

Casa de mi Padre

An excellent Will Farrel film that you appreciate only on the "keeping it fresh" level. Having it be a parody of Spanish soap operas/films made this film really entertaining. Genesis Rodriguez played it up really well, she was amazing. It did however at times lose my interest because some of the jokes was played up too long.

Captain America: The First Avenger
Iron Man 2

Scream.

I rank Stu as one of the top film villains due to his lack oftraditional motivation for his crimes: he simply went along for the heck of it....very chilling. In a way, one could argue he is one of the cinematic ancestor to Ledger's Joker.

Dark Knight Rises, again. Went to a 1:30 am IMAX show thinking I'd get a good seat, but the theater was still packed as f&^%..

The Thin Red Line (1998)
Good movie. It'll never be one of my faves, but I can't deny the fact that it is indeed good.

My Fair Lady (1964)
Wow... how could one of the most famous Hollywood musicals have so many forgettable songs? Hepburn was lovely though, and so were the scenery and the costumes.

Moonraker (1979)
It's James Bond... IN SPACE!!!!
No seriously, what a dumb movie. He's a spy, I want to see him doing spy work.

Tangled (2010)
Disappointed, mainly because of the incredibly bland characters. The plot was quite predictable too. But at least the movie was pretty to look at, I guess that counts for something.

Star Wars.

If the Jawas' bookkeeper took the day off, would Luke ever have become a Jedi?

The Italian Job (2003)
7/10
Not as good as the original, but still good

The Italian Job is like the perfect early 2000s throwaway actioneer, IMO.

The Dark Knight Rises - Second time, and it truely is a better experience once you see it again.

9-9.5/10

Word. I'm seeing it for the fourth time tomorrow in IMAX. I went from being slightly underwhelmed to it possibly being my favorite one.

Damn, I wish I felt this way on my first viewing. :csad:
