What's The Last Movie You Watched? XIV - - - Part 16

The Texas Killing Fields. Uh, I'm not too sure what this is supposed to be. I've been wanting to watch it since I saw the trailer, mostly because I do tend to like the "catch the serial killer" type movies, and I'm also trying to support Chloe Moretz's career ( I hope she goes far) But this movie, kind of drags out. If it just concentrated on the crime, maybe it would have worked out better, but I don't know. Sloppy script is best way to describe it.

Surprisingly, Jessica Chastain is in this, and she was great. She should do more roles like this, instead of playing the pretty little wife waiting for her man to save her.

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas---Terrible movie, I enjoyed the first 2 but this one just plain sucked. Only laughed once. Glad my friends persuaded me to see something else back when this was in theaters.

Valhalla Rising

Very strange. It conjures a world flawlessly: muddy, raw, cold, and unforgiving. I do think I need to watch it again. There's not anything easy to grab on to in terms of a narrative. It's more of a mood piece, and on that level, it most certainly succeeds, but I haven't quite tuned in to its wavelength yet. It's like Aguire, Wrath of God on lots of downers and a fistful of mushrooms. A second viewing might reveal wonders.

I watched Drive twice today. Flat out great film.

Superman vs the Elite
4/10

I'm someone who love most of the DC animated films, this film sucks, a great deal of suck
One of the nice things about it is the use of the soundtrack from Superman: Doomsday, which is a great movie imo

Night of the Living Dead 1990 - 7.5/10

The last part was pretty disgusting imo.

Collateral.
TERRIBLE.

2/10

You can never, ever shoot Tom Cruise in the face. It just makes him smile angrily.

The Secret in Their Eyes

A great, great film.
Mystery, suspense, comedy, drama, it's all in there.

4/5

Hercules in New York
Not one of Arnold's better films, nor Herc's

The Avengers. My first Blu-Ray movie.
Still a 10/10.

Pitch Black (2000)
Vin Diesel is just cool.

My fav quote from the movie, lol:

Johns: How's it look?
Riddick
: Looks clear.
[Johns steps forward, and a creature flies out towards them. They duck and it flies into the night]
Johns
: You said it was clear!
Riddick
: I said it *looked* clear.
Johns
: Well, how does it look now?
Riddick
: Looks clear.
