The Possession

It's pretty much the Jewish version of the exorcist and while it's got some very good performances, the scares were lacking. Minus the last scene, there was very little build up to the scare and then it quickly finishes the scene. Jeffery Dean Morgan and especially the little girl were convincing.

Lawless

Was pretty bored by it even with a good cast. Nothing really stood out except maybe for Gary Oldman who was barely in it. The story wasn't really compelling at all, I honestly didn't care for what was going on. Also since the film moved slowly, it doesn't help that this was almost two hours long.

Captain America: The First Avenger

I thought I would check this out again, it's still my favorite Marvel film after the Avengers.

The story sucks, but the visuals and acting were really good.

Bangkok Dangerous

Fell asleep through some of it, but goddamn is Cage's hair hilarious. Also Cage trying to communicate with deaf girlfriend.

6 Bullets
The Delta Force
Seeking Justice
Hijacked

The Cabin in the Woods (8.5/10)

Lawrence of Arabia

My first time seeing this amazing film and the first time on blu ray. This epic was worth watching for almost 4 hours long. Those guys who restored this on blu ray did a fantastic job, you didn't even noticed that this film was 50 years old. This film is a cinematographer's wet dream, it's so gorgeous with almost every shot in this. Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif were simply great on screen and I frankly love the story that portrays the events in Arabia in the late 1910's.
10/10

Godzilla Vs. Megalon (1973) - MST3K version

Safe

My second viewing and definitely not the last. The Stath's second best leading action film IMHO. It's like an early 90's Steven Seagal film, but with a really good character arc for the lead. I think between this and EX2, Statham has found his calling playing downtrodden losers.

The Watch

I honestly don't regret seeing this. I probably wont ever again, but I didn't mind it.

The Tall Man.

I saw Laugier's two previous efforts. His first movie was well shot but boring. Martyrs was interesting, creepy, scary, and provocative. But the last part was boring and bloody for the sake of it.

the Tall Man, however, is an amazing movie. Not only does it surprise the viewer; but the acting is incredible (and that's coming from someone who doesn't like Biel), and the story is engaging and well thought out. It was full of suspense, emotion... Definitely one of my favorite movie of the year.

Arbitrage

In the middle of watching Arbitrage the tagline from the 1999 film Payback popped into my head: Get ready to root for the bad guy.Directed and written by Nicholas Jarecki the film contains the unique mix of an edge of your seat thriller
and a Wall street financial drama.
The character Robert Miller is definitely morally flawed. He's an investment manager who has cooked the books at his firm due to a bad investment ,he's cheating on his choosing to be oblivious for the moment wife Ellen(Susan Sarandon) and he's attempting to cover up a fatal car accident.

Still there is a charm to the character and Gere pulls it off with ease.
Kudos to the supporting cast Nate Parker,Brit Marling and Tim Roth and their strong performances.
The only flaw that kind of sticks out are the tactics used in the police investigation.Moves are made that i found were completely unnecessary.Anyone that reads a newspaper or watches the news knows how easy it is to convict someone on the smallest amounts of evidence and tying someone to a crime scene.

Does Gere deserve an Oscar nomination? Yes!!
He displays just the right amount of charm, regret, sadness and intensity.A near perfect balancing act of a man stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Scale of 1-10 an 8½

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.

What an awesome movie.
