On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

The only Bond movie where James actively pretends to be gay.

And wears a kilt.

And a poofy pirate shirt.

Michael Mann's Thief. I was surprised how good this film was. Thematically it's pure Mann: chance romantic encounter gives meaning to a professional criminal's on-the-edge life that is taken tragically but unavoidably from him by the same element he seeks to get out off. The score by Tangerine Dream is mesmerizing, James Caan's performance one of his best, and Mann's attention to detail to the couple of operations staged by the protagonist and his team is jaw droppingly accurate in all its thieving glory.

Red Dawn
Wrath of the Titans
The Raid: Redemption
The Devil's Rejects

The Warriors - Directors Cut

The awesomeness shines through the goofy comic book stuff they added. A damn classic.

It's one of those charming small films that has a character or a couple of characters that you really get attached to as the film progress. Aubrey Plaza did a fantastic job playing this character and for some reason the storyline with Jake M. Johnson's character was immensely well written. I wasn't expecting for me to really dig it but it's a better movie than what I was expecting.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

In the cinema. Glorious. The only people who enjoyed it more than me was the couple copulating in the back corner.

Too much bad family drama and not enough horror. I was hoping it would be more like Insidious and just be balls to the wall horror but alas it wasn't.

I watched Unkown on blu-ray the other day. It was decent - standard action fare with a twist that was alluded to before the 'big reveal'. It was all a bit..meh though. Can't fault Neeson or Kruger for their performances, and Ganz and Langella both did well too. But I still felt a bit underwhelmed, even though I wasn't expecting much.

I think I expected a bit moore 'Liam Neeson kicks the **** out of people' though.

The Monster Squad 8/10

I loved this as a kid and still have the nostalgia. I think the humor still works and it's interesting to see a family film that pushes the envelope. There's enough gore and violence for this to be a horror comedy. Very enjoyable.

Dark Shadows 7.5/10

I thought Depp was great in the Barnabus role. This doesn't have very much in common with the actual show but it felt like a t.v. adaptation. I was reminded of the Addams family movies. It's very much a Tim Burton film and I liked the visuals. The ending was a bit strange though and the story didn't hold up quote well. Also the cast was good but seem underutilized and subplots seemed to have been forgotten. I thought it was average.
