@Gwendolyn: Realistic? You mean it's not a good idea?

And sure, back on track.

Gwen should die at the hands of the Goblin on the bridge because Spider-Man realizes he's gay and has no interest in her.

I could see that angle if he was developing this issue while under the control of the black symbiote and it being an accident. :woot:

We've already seen the symbiote make Peter gay...

Okay, 8wid, I have no problems with homosexuals, but taking a well known character and suddenly making him gay is not realistic. Now can we all get back on topic, please?
It's a fictional character. The whole movie is unrealistic.

So...every movie ever made that isn't a documentary or "based on a true story" is unrealistic? Because everyone in those movies are fictional characters.

I just meant it's not likely to happen.

OK, let's reign in whatever unrelated and overdone fanfic scenarios people have concocted and get back to the proposed issue of a potential death for Gwen.

Seriously.

Agreed.

So...do you think Green Goblin will die by Spidey's hands out of revenge over Gwen's death, or by accident like in Spider-Man and comics?

Yessir!

So uh...Gwen Stacy...she's going to die, right? That's going to be...cool..

Agreed.

Accident. It would be so tragic if he couldn't save his Uncle when he didn't have powers, and still couldn't save the love of his life with powers.

I hope he gets beat to death by Spidey's FISTS O' FURY for killing his lady. It would be dark and brutal, and awesome.

Agreed. And with both "lessons", I think it'll make Spidey stronger as a hero, and that's how I want the trilogy to end, imo.

Him beating on Gobby during that final battle in Spider-Man was awesome to watch.

I don't think Spider-Man should ever kill anybody, regardless of whether or not it's in a "dark" movie. It's not who he is.

You can't read between the lines?.......SPIDER-MAN=unrealistic.

Well then I want to see him beat the everliving **** out of Green Goblin, and have Gobby throw a bomb at him or something, and Spidey throws it back with a webline (think Spider-Man 3, Peter vs Harry), just to differentiate between Raimi's films and this. Because honestly, even though it's not following the comics, if it DID, it would just be compared to Raimi's death-by-glider (even though it was in the comics too, I feel that since Raimi got it in a movie first, that's what it would be compared to.).

Oh, agreed on the beating the **** out of him thing. I want to see Spider-Man to beat Goblin within an inch of his life.

How about rather than having Goblin die, using the moment that Spider-Man stops beating on him to his advantage, he escapes? I'd like it if Spider-Man's main nemesis lasted more than one movie. lol

That could work. I don't want him to be the main villain in 2 movies though, maybe just have a separate story within the movie with the Goblin, but have the main story focusing on Spidey and [Insert Villain Here].
