After seeing the movie twice, and the other two tons of times. I am dumbfounded as to how Xavier thinks (or anyone thinks) that Storm is fit as a leader and can run the school by herself.

Wolverine gave commands and told other characters what to do, Storm just yelled at Logan when he didn't do something she liked. Logan even gave the moral speach before the battle.

Does any one else feel that the movie Storm is in way over her head.

nope, the actress who portrayed her was. plus u also think that storm was the field commander for the "gold" team while cyclops lead his "blue" team... i dunno, i got into x-men during the jim lee days :)

Who would run the school the school with X and Cykes and Jean dead. The next in line was Storm after Cyclops I believe. Anyways, she was trying to give commands but Logan kept ignoring her and doing what he wanted in the DR so she was just like FU! and got over it.

Storm running the school makes sense, where as Wolverine would be a good field-battle leader. Storm seemed to be pushing him in that direction as well (take a stand, be with us, ect ect)

i think storm is fit to be a great leader. we have to remember that they've been selling wolverine as the star of the team for the past two movies. i suppose for continuity, they let him grow into the leader of this movie. they 'said' storm was the leader to satisfy the more hardcore fans who know better, but i guess actually 'showing' wolverine as the leader made more since for the general public. whatever. btw, i think halle and storm were GREAT in this movie.

LOL! This is a very good point!

Did anyone else think that the scene where you first see her fly in the Danger Room looked pretty silly?

No I didnt. I actually liked her flying in X3 isntead of that ******ed flying she did in X1

IMO, there was one scene that crystalized her leadership qualities more than anything else. After Prof. X had died and everyone was wondering what to do about the school. Storm stepped up to the plate and made a decision to keep the school alive, which in turn kept the X-men together.. No one else seemed to want to take the responsibility.

in battle, but i just retconned it in my mind that they meant it more about the running of the school...

as a tactile leader, she's ****ing rubbish in all three films...

infact the group as a whole are poorly organised and aren't ready for any sort of real threat such as sentinels or apocalypse...

heck, spidey could walk into the mansion and cream all over everyone, same with blade, same with daredevil, same with blade...

the x-men aren't battle ready and with all the money they spend, they are still big fat phonies...

Where did the idea that she was the leader come from? I know it was the general impression prior to the movie's release but did it come from fans, interviews, the screenwriters or what?

xavier gave that impression right near the beginning of the film and also her whole atittude to wanting to keep the school open were supposed to be the foundations of showing her leadership skills..

whether this is actually at the school or on the battlefield remains to be seen, both would have been ideal but none were really showed properly, especially on the battlefield.

After many viewings, Halle Berry's Storm as the leader still doesn't convince me, to be honest. I don't know. Maybe I'm watching too many X-Men: Evolution episodes. The face of Angela Basset is still sticky-taped on my mind and I can't get it off! :o

Yeah, it should've been Xavier asking Scott to take over the school. But both of them are dead and presumed dead (Scott). Storm taking over the school makes sense. She's like second-in-command or something.

I feel the same way. Logan is to rough and intense to run the school but he would make a great battle leader. Storm is perfect to take over the school.

I could see Logan as the field teacher who teaches in the Danger Room and Beast as the science teacher. But no, he had to run off to the government...

Seeing wolverine barking orders and preeching teamwork made me vomit.

This would have been an excellent chance for halle to redeem her character and act like the leader storm is in battle as well as at school, but as usual wolvy hogged the ball. he's the kobe bryant f the x-men.

I concur. I hated how he yelled out his orders and commands to hold the link at the final battle. It didn't feel right coming from him. :down

none of it felt right.

Its called bad writing.

In the comic storm is definitely the leader and has been for decades. Its only recently with her upcoming wedding that she's not leading as much.

The screenwriters screwed the character over. It had nothing to do with Halle. The words she said came from them. The action came from them. They made wolverine take over or ignore commands as if it would make him seem tough. No, it made him look like an idiot and threat to the team.

Wolverine has never been a leader its not suited to his character and yet all that gets thrown out the window.

Storm lead me to roll my eyes....... Halle can be a good actress, she's just not a good storm, I don't see her as this "tough african goddess"

don't get me started on her rant about the cure at the mansion, or how Beast couldn't see how the school was important to young mutants but storm could........ bad writting

I wouldn't say 'none'. Beast felt right. Magneto felt right. Xavier felt right. A lot of things impressed me and felt right.

I was willing to accept some of it... but I really did think that every character said something that was in some way, at some stage, either completely out of character, or just there to service the plot.

Maybe Beast... actually no... some of his dialogue with Storm at the beginning was ******ed. 'Is it wrong to save oneself from persecution?'

How corny.

Many would disagree with you on Beast being 'not right'. :)

thinking about it, Logan was more of a leader actually than Storm....screw Logan. And long live Cyclops!
