Where's my @#%$& MARVEL NEWS!!!

The uk magazine sfx has posted up all the info from KF just now:

http://www.sfx.co.uk/page/sfx?entry=saturday_link_a_mania4

Basically...

1. Marvel aims to put out 4 movies a year
2. The Incredible Hulk wil be returning in the Avengers movie
This is the best news yet
3. Another standalone Hulk movie is a possibility
4. Edgar Wright's Ant man is still in the works
Too bad this won't precede Avengers. Avengers needs their giant superhero!
5. Feige likes the idea of a Dr Strange movie(maybe with Blade)
6. Thor's alter ego Donald Blake , won't be appearing in the Thor film.
7. Will Smith is not in the running to play Captain america
8. The Avengers will be about saving the world, and will be different in tone to previous Marvel films.
9. Iron Man 2 is due out 7 May 2010, Thor is 20 May and The First Avenger: Captain America is 22 July of 2011.
10. The Avengers is currently scheduled for 4 May 2012.
11. Ahmed Best is in negotiations for the lead role in the forthcoming Howard the Duck re-boot. Howard will be computer generated so that the problems of crying children being stuck in a hot duck suit which plauged the last movie will be avoided.

I just hope they make an announcement about Hawkeye joining the Avengers soon (not his own movie please!)

I pray it is TIH2!!!

No chance... besides, I think Marvel will have their hands full with Avengers. I don't see them doing another tentpole that summer. And look for an X-Men spinoff to take that second Marvel tentpole slot in 2012. I am thinking Dr. Strange or Black Panther or a WAY lesser known property than even those two.

He also did say that Thor takes place on both modern Earth and other worlds like Asgard, confirming what we heard the other day about Donald Blake not being a part of the story and the setting be primarily Earth.
Why won't Donald Blake be a part of the story? Will he be a part of any sequels?

very good news..
regarding Doc strange, werewolf by night and blade, it would be interesting to see a Nightstalkers interpretation done.. it would be an uphill development, of course.. the Blade option needs to be released by New Line..

... I dig the Don Blake history, but it may be for the best to bypass.. less money involved, it can always 'eventually' be told.. right now you could foresee problems with each actor's agents (don/thor) arguing over screentime..

I hope for real villains in Avengers; not just generics.. if AIM and HYDRA are involved that's a plus..

I would think since the last Blade film was in 04 that the rights should be coming back to Marvel from New Line any day now, and even if they aren't they certainly will have by 2012 which would be the absolutely earliest that it could be released (and I seriously seriously doubt that they will be rebooting Blade any time soon).

They did a tv series afterwards so you are really looking at only 4 years since Blade has been used. And I think if it goes back to Marvel, you will see a deal kind of like Hulk..........Marvel studios gets the rights but New Line distributes. I was hoping Sony would have done that with Spidey so he can be in the Avengers. :csad:

nah spidey in avengers would be a bad idea. He'd overshadow all the other Avengers
