He doesn't need to have a relationship/love interest, especially in his early days. For once, I don't want his spider-man career to be a subplot. He should keep to himself a lot, and focus on school and his superhero tactics. Planning patrols, chasing leads, improving his technology, that sort of thing. I'd like to see him doing some forensics and research over the course of a movie, racking his brain and talking to himself, trying to pursue and identify a specific criminal/villain.

Have him show interest in some girl but to no avail.

Well as Kevin has said at least first film they don't want to focus so much on love life. I expect we likely see peter crushing on some like liz betty or mj. And slowly develop love life.

I'd prefer him crushing on Liz and perhaps learning that the popular girl who he thinks is perfect and worship isn't who's best for him. That's sort of a Hughes-esque sort of lesson he could learn. Maybe at the end you could hint that another girl already has a crush on him but he just doesn't realize it because he's chasing the unattainable girl. What ever they do , I don't want another "will they won't they be together" romance storyline.

That is how I like them to handle gwen this go. Ala tssm way. Then we have mj be the wild new party girl. But she becomes friends with peter and we learn her party ways is to mask her bad family life. And we develop mj and gwen in a more natural and organic way. And actually see them become friends. And then vye for peter love over series.

I could get behind that , though I wouldn't want them to get together if its Liz Allen. I'd actually prefer if he didn't end up with her in the end.

If its MJ, I could see it , though I wouldn't want to rush the Peter/MJ romance this early. I think letting the dynamics between Peter/Gwen/Harry/MJ Flash and Liz play out is the way to go more then hooking them all up in one film .

Personally I said this before I rather go like tssm and early comics. Start the film on him crushing for liz or sally. Who don't think much of peter and one of them is dating flash. Have gwen be his friend and she likes him but peter is just a dolt and doesn't notice her that way. Harry I would prefer to go maybe the cool dude who gets the ladies vs being a geek or loser. And then throughout the film we are teased on mj from may and mj aunt Anna. And play off the keep missing her or not wanting to meet her like comics did.

Then at the end we meet her and do the classic meeting deal and in sequels she and peter and the gang become friends. Start her iut a but as the wild girl due to bad life situations. But she slowly changes and all that. And in sequels play off gwen and mj vying for peter. But in the first film don't go straight in romance. Just flirting and having crush. So we don't bog film down with romance. As per kevin interviews have said on not letting romance be the driving plotline.

Depends on how many solo Spidey films Tom is locked for. I want him to go the full circle with Gwen dying and then moving on and getting married to MJ.

I had an idea where they start with MJ for the first 3 or 4 films. But by the end of the fourth or 3rd film something pops up that makes Peter unable to date/continue dating her. Then switch to Gwen for about 2 or 3 films and eventually have her die. Go one full film with Peter having no love interest to tie him down and coping with his lost loves. But then by the end of that film have MJ return into Peters life. Eventually they get married and everythings happy and worked out.


I mean lets be honest. There is not a single superhero film in this generation or when you think about it the entire MCU that doesn't have a love interest subplot.
