I want to see Spider-Man making fun of the bad guys, something similar to TASM car scene.

Well kevin did say they don't need spidey solo to be a big end of the world story. So those who think a smaller simple story like antman can't happen it is likely what we will get.

Totally. I also like the idea of Mysterio as the baddie. Of the villains who haven't been used , he's the most unique and unlike what we've seen before, and there's alot of potential with his character. He's also a classic Spiderman villain and is certainly very theatrical .

Ya mysterio is who I am rooting for the most. And different villain good visuals and doesn't need yo be destroy the world plot.

Looking at some clips from Amazing Spider-Man 2, a lot of the CGI and action looks video gamey. I'm starting to question if I'd really want Mysterio in a SONY film.

It's all about what companies are doing the effects and how well budget is used.

If it's being produced by Marvel, are they still gonna use Sony Imageworks? I've no idea.

Given that Marvel will be behind the creative stuff, I'm pretty confident Mysterio could visually look very cool. For this first film, I'm really not concerned about Sony attempting to meddle in the creative process . My concern would be after a few Marvel films once the character is back on track that Sony would start getting froggy and start thinking that they can take over the reigns again that I would be worried.

I would think it be ilm, and some of the better smaller companies. Again it ultimately doesn't matter who does it. As long they spend budget wisely and have enough time to complete cg work.

The stuff they could do with Sandman would be amazing, if they put work into the CGI.

A simple mob story ala DD wont ever happen with a spidey film.. especially a reboot.. that's suppose to usher in a new franchise... people want spectacle with spidey... spidey fighting Kingpin, Hammerhead, Chameleon and tombstone arn't all that visually interesting nor entertaining... you have to pair them up with some powered people (and no shocker alone wont cut it)

Kevin Feige's comments suggest that this will be a smaller movie. He used Inside Out as the comparison. In that movie, the stakes were the well-being of one girl, not the world.

Hopefully it being a smaller film doesn't limit it from having big moments,

I doubt it would it just means he wants a smaller scale more personal story. Like he said in that interview inside out. Or like antman it wasn't end of the world story.

Same, also I'm really hoping for a final battle seen that takes place in the day time this time around.

Ya I love to have a more day time fights. And maybe some new spots like liberty island, Mets ball park and what not. Or if it's mysterio maybe one of the famous theaters on broadway.

And? That just means its very heavily peter driven... which it should and can be. Most spiderman stories are personal and not "world ending" he and his villains arnt destructive like that

And it means we shouldn't assume the movie will be a giant spectacle. It could be, but I wouldn't take it as a given.

Of course not a giant spectacle but hopefully still flashy and entertaining enough to be considered a good movie

I dont see anyone assuming that... the movie may not be a giant spectical, but you're kidding yourself if you think the film could be successful as a 2nd reboot in 10 years and not have "spectacular" fight senquences... its spider-man, it has to be action packed. But that doesnt mean the film cant be small and personal

If it's the Winter Soldier of Spider-man movies I'd be very happy

I should hope it's on tier with Winter Soldier in terms of plot. Avengers in terms of action scenes. And Gaurdians in terms of comedy. With the John Hughes vibe sprinkled in for the high school scenes. And on terms of Loki, or Joker for villains.

Spider-Man always jokes around and makes fun of the bad guys. From calling Mysterio fishbowl to making fun of Goblins purse. To even mocking the criminals robbing stores.
