Homecoming Who should be the Villain in Spider-Man (2017)? - Part 4

Gyllenhaal as Norman would honestly be brilliant casting. (Him in Nightcrawler, he could definitely pull off Goblin) It's thinking outside of the box like Marvel.

Still think if they wanna have Norman AND Gobby in the future, this is one of the guys to do it:

If Gyllenhaal was Norman and Keaton was Toomes... Imagine the scenes between them

Would be glorious

Or if Keaton was......

Maybe they could have Emily Osborn in this one

And then have Vulture kill her

Give Gyllenhaal some scenery to chew

I definitely wanna see Norman's wife if/when he's included again. She only got mentioned in the first Spider-Man film, I believe.

You could have her be the one who actually seems to care for Harry too, so that when she's killed it makes that relationship between Norman and Harry even better

So when do they start filming this thing ?

Gotta be getting close

Most people think Vulture is lame, but I feel like with a bit of work they can make him a brilliant villain. An bitter scientist who got discarded for being old and mocked for his looks. They should portray him as such. Maybe Toomes could be the creator of the flight gizmo, and the government giving him no credit could be part of his resentment towards everyone. It'd be nice to see Vulture just rebel against Osborn with someone like Kingpin working behind the scenes (taking advantage of the fact that Spidey is distracted).

And I think the only time she's made a physical appearance outside the comics was in Spectacular. Which sadly got canned before we saw more of her. According to Greg Weisman, she was actually just as bad as Norman was and her true personality would have emerged after Norman's "death".

Which in my opinion is the wrong approach. In my eyes she should be the sympathetic Osborn parent

I also hope they make Vultures technology different then The Falcons , I don't really want to see Vulture with a jetpack

Oh wow, poor Harry. :csad:

If Keaton isn't the Vulture, then I would to see Jonathan Banks !

I agree totally. I felt the same way long ago about Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus in Attack of the Clones. I guess I just like the refreshing dynamic of an old villain.

I'm all for the Vulture. Keep it simple for the first outing. Scorpion is another choice of mine. I think the JJJ/Scorpion storyline would be a great starting point for the new Spider-Man franchise.

you guys do realize jake is way too young for Osborne right? If Harry is 15 ish.. that would mean Jake would have had to have him at 21...

which while certainly possible... isn't all that common outside of rural areas... and on top of that.. Jake also doesn't look like he could pull off being the father of someone that age...

you really need an actor at least in his 40s for Norman

Norman really needs to be a high calibur actor that they can option to have go on and be not just a spidey villain... but an Avengers villain.. someone who melds well with Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr too

jake is great, but he DOES NOT have the right kind of gravitas to pull off stormin normin osborn

Huh? People have kids at young ages ALL the time in big cities. A child in college or fresh out of college isnt that uncommon and something mainly see in rural areas.

Maybe that could attribute to why Norman doesn't really like Harry

He saw him as a burden by having him so young
