Homecoming Who should reboot villain be? (Poll Version) - Part 1

I had this brash idea on how to update the Green Goblin.

Take away his glider. Take it away, and give him wings like Vulture. Hobgoblin had it in the comics.

Maybe have Vulture work for Osborn and come up with a military program involving the wings which gives it's ties to Falcon. Osborn fired Toomes and Toomes attacked Osborn as the Vulture for revenge, and when Osborn becomes the Goblin, he makes improvements to the wings and uses it himself.

I'd introduce the Black Suit whenever the Sinister Six comes. It seems like a good way for him to be able to defeat them.

I always liked the idea of him taking them on without it first and losing pretty badly, getting the Symbiote/Black Suit and defeating them with ease, almost killing a member in the process. :oldrazz:

Yeah, kinda like in Spectacular.

That is a good idea. It would allow for the introduction of new characters (Sinister 6 plus Venom) which they want so they can make more spin-offs, it would be a good story and it would be a good way to introduce the Symbiote where it is necessary for the story and not just being crammed in there which these films have been guilty of doing before with characters.

Then again Infinity Wars seems like a pretty obvious place to do it

I don't know, maybe, I just wanna see the black suit in general.

I don't think the two ideas are contradictory. Infinity War introduces the black suit as just a Deus Ex Machina that helps save the day.

Then we get the second Marvel Spider-Man movie with the Black Suit and the Sinister Six (where the villains team up because the new suit is tougher to fight against).

The only question is whether Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is too soon for either Sinister Six or the Symbiote.

How about the Beetle? Who wants too see him? I forgot he was a Spider-Man villain.

I was actually thinking about Beetle today. I would like to see him and the updated look could fit in nicely.

Maybe somewhere down the line in MCU we could have a version of the Masters Of Evil be a threat for Avengers, Capt America etc.

Beetle, Batroc, Radioactive Man, Blizzard, Shocker & Baron Zemo as leader would be my pick.

Tht sounds more like the Sinister Six than the Masters of Evil. The Masters of Evil is large threats. Like Abomination, Baron Zemo, Enchantress, Skurge, Red Skull, etc.

I like The Beetle, but the competition is too big to let him be in any of the films.

What do you mean the competition is too big?

There are too many better and more famous villains to chose from for there to be any room for The Beetle, unless they use him as a first minute only villain which is an idea I'm not too fond of.

I could see him as a quick secondary villain that Spider-Man battles in the first few minutes of the film. I ean why not, especially since he's not one of the "Better" villains you mentioned. He'd be on par with someone like Shocker.

Shocker is easily above The Beetle.

I don't like that idea because I think those minutes should be dedicated to Spider-Man taking down street thugs. It shouldn't be forgotten that Spider-Man is a street level hero which includes taking down street thugs and not only super powered or high tech villains.

I def love if he got symbiote in infinity wats. More so of spidey is in space and they could play up original secret wars aspect in infinity.

Thing to remember is not every spidey villain needs to show up in solo film or team mcu film. They could maybe have a spidey Rouge show up in another character solo film. Or beetle could work in shield like chameleon. Or silver Sable on netflix show.

Beetle's popularity largely stems from his later stint as Mach 1 on the Thunderbolts. If they plan on doing a Thunderbolts movie I could easily see them using him as an opening fight type villain, who gets dropped in jail within the first 5-10 minutes. That could easily set him up for greater things down the road.

I just want to see Spidey kick some street thug butts once in a while like in SM1 and not only super foes. Regular criminals exist in Spidey's world too. We already get super power action against the main villains of the film

After watching the Daredevil finale last night, I really hope Spidey gets involved with the Kingpin.

I still think the first movie should revolve around gang activity. Have Tombstone begin his move to take over organised crime with the Kingpin out of the way, and have him come into contact with Norman Osborn for weapons and tech. Shocker can be the main villain for fight scenes and such, getting his tech from Osborn. That also sets up having the more fantastical side of Spidey's world for sequels.

That'd be awesome. I think one of the things the Raimi trilogy and TASM series both missed out on is having Spidey tackle the organized crime. Some of the best Spider-Man stories, going back to the Lee and Ditko days had him fighting gangsters. Hell, Robbie Robertson could have a larger role if you play on his connection to Tombstone.
