Homecoming Who should reboot villain be? (Poll Version) - Part 1

Marvel is going to give us classic Green Goblin in the 2nd or 3rd movie. You wait and see.

Carnage is probably too extreme for YET ANOTHER new Spidey. But Carnage, finally, please... just do it.
Save Carnage for an Agent Venom spinoff.

And yeah, that Goblin mask is great. If they do go with Green Goblin, that's what I'd want to see.

I might be in the minority but I hate that look. Granted, it's unfinished, but the mask is too bright, the eggs...erm... eyes are way too big, the hat or hood is way too far back on his head which makes him look absolutely ridiculous, the suit looks awful and the colors of the mask and the suit don't mix well at all.

That's definitely not a finished suit. Pretty sure all those wires are for the gizmos that control the expressiveness of the mask.

Movie 1 - Vulture
Movie 2 - Kraven
Movie 3 - Venom

In addition to this, I'd make Kingpin an overarching villain who's the mastermind behind it all. Also Daredevil is Marvel owned too, so they might be wanting either to tie him into the MCU slowly by having them face the same villain or, at the very least, establish the villain in the public mind by having both Daredevil and Spider-Man have to fight him. It'd take a bit of coordination between producers, but not much.

I think the easiest one to set up in the MCU would be Vulture, as The Winter Soldier established Falcon's wings, now you only need to establish how Vulture got his hands on the tech. You could come up with some dirty explanation, and bam you've got a villain who's a legitimate threat to Spider-Man, and with the time that you don't need to spend establishing his backstory you can use to flesh out another villain and give Peter more character development. It not only allows you to set up a villain efficiently, but it helps tie Spider-Man into the continuity.

I hate the suit, but I think the mask would work with a different context. Personally, I'd still rather see the Hobgoblin than another shot at the "ol' green and purple".

Ya if this is a more fresh to fighting spidey. It be better to start smaller and simple. We need guys like mysterio shocker vulture. Nice easy back stories and good power sers. Different from past film villains.

Kraven I see better suited for a sequel villain and being more hired gun tyoe. Simular to scorpion. But if we get him in mcu I don't want him to be oscorp. Only guys from oscorp should be norman and maybe ock. The rest let's move away from oscorp villains factory.

I prefer Kraven to ultimately be his own man. He's hunting Spider-Man purely for his own interest and desire. Not for money and not for someone else.

I'm thinking of something like this:

1) Chameleon already works for Norman or a mob boss.

2) Chameleon is sent out to assassinate Spider-Man but fails. He escapes however and is thus not put in prison.

3) Norman/mob boss obviously gets disappointed and upset at Chameleon for failing. To calm Norman/mob boss down (and save his own butt), Chameleon says that he knows someone who has wrestled with crocodiles, fought lions and beaten rhinos with his bare hands. Someone who's been strenghtened by a life in the wilds, someone who'd love a new challenge.

4) Chameleon is sent out to Africa to get Kraven to New York. We get to know that they're half brothers. Here we have some interaction between the two that clearly shows how belittled and weak Chameleon is in Kraven's presence. Spider-Man definitely gets in Kraven's interest, a living trophy like nothing else he's encountered, and he agrees to go to New York.

5) Chameleon makes Kraven meet Norman/mob boss. Norman/mob boss doesn't know if he's impressed by Kraven's towering presence, or disappointed in Kraven's primitive methods. Norman/mob boss offers Kraven a great deal of money as well as assistance in weapons and goons, with the desire of Kraven to bring Spider-Man alive to him for Norman/mob boss himself to kill. Kraven is infuriated. He sees the offer and demand as disrespectful towards him as well as dishonorable, and he'd never give away a moment such as killing Spider-Man.

6) The rest of the film it's purely Kraven vs. Spider-Man, with Chameleon being Norman's/mob boss' eyes (perhaps also doing his own missions of assassinating important rivals to his boss).

7) It could be cool to have Chameleon in the end try to assassinate Norman/mob boss to take his place. That would obviously end up with Chameleon himself getting killed. Or have Chameleon actually succeeding in killing another mob boss (like Silvermane or someone) and take that person's place, now himself becoming an enemy of his former boss (however disguised as the mob boss who's killed).

Vulture, Kraven-and-Lizard, and Doc Ock would be my picks for a trilogy.

I still say they should also throw Shocker in there somewhere as well as a secondary villain. He's long overdue for a film appearance.

One thing I do hope is if we see any goblin in time in the mcu. We get someone mire comics accurate. And not go go power rangers suit of raimi or the armor suit/hulking out monster take of Webb series. How darn hard is it to make something more comics look. It could be a mix of arrow's green arrow suit along the lines of cap 1/avengers 2. Type of suit for goblins.

If they do Goblin, start the guy off simple. Just a super enhanced Norman in a green and purple Goblin costume, with a regular flying glider with no real extreme missiles or anything yet and a bag full of different bombs.

Maybe, you can upgrade his weapons in later films or give him the lazer gloves like in SSM.

I'm calling it now,Mysterio will be the villain.

I really want to see mysterio shocker vulture scorpion kraven within first few films or other mcu films. Before we go back to goblin and ock.

I agree. There's so many characters to explore. Having a different villain each film, even though regulars re-appeared, is something the Spider-Man franchise can be proud of IMO.

Ya and it's not like we couldn't or should have ock or norman be around. Just be supporting and pre villainous selfs. And let's hopefully not see oscorp villain factory of Webb series or ultimate comics. Not every villain should be connected from there. Or have a deep connection to peter.

I wouldn't mind seeing Norman like he is in Spectacular helping to create the villlains himself.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ultimate Green Goblin. You could tie his powers into the Hulk's, they could've improved upon the Abomination serum. But honestly I think they need to wait a while before introducing Osborn. Introducing him in phase 3 is introducing a huge new player who there isn't time to use in the wider MCU. Wait until Phase 4.

Nah I don't want hulk goblin. I want to see a more proper 616 goblin done right.

There are so many ways they can go with Goblin it's not even funny. It's just confiusing.
