Homecoming Who should reboot villain be? (Poll Version) - Part 1

I agree Michael! Mysterio would pretty much be perfect for those reasons (and more). Same goes for Kraven or Kingpin if you ask me.

I know it won't happen but Mysterio ends up killing Kingpin in recent times. I would not want Mysterio working for Kingpin or at least for his first movie appearance.

Same with Doc Ock.

Down the line I would like a Doc Ock / Hammerhead story.

Except one is an actual sorcerer and the other is just a fake out?

I would hope to see the Quentin Beck version of Mysterio 1st but I also think the Francis Klum teleporter version could be explored as well.

QB is the best though. :woot:

Green Goblin done right but keep Norman as a larger MCU villain. Also have Fisk in there, have him meet Smythe. Kraven would be cool if there was a mutual creature villain to hunt like Lizard but he was just done

With how amazing he's done in the show, I'd rather see more of Vincent Donofrio's Fisk. Wouldn't have to spend time with backstory. We'd discover towards the end of the film that some of Kingpin's goons were the guys that killed Uncle Ben.

If Fisk is used then he needs to have a Wesley type character as a go between with the super villain henchmen. Fisk is very realistic and if he suddenly starts getting on the phone to the likes of Sandman it may lesson the impact of the character.

Perhaps Hammerhead could be Fisk's right hand man?

Martin Freeman was just cast in CW I highly doubt it but I want to believe he's Norman Osborn.

WhatCulture had an article about villains that should be used. Their top choices were pretty good, but they lost all credibility at the very beginning when they claimed that Hydroman was "less silly" than Shocker. Freaking Hydroman!

Doc Ock confirmed!

Martin could be a great Doc Ock! I doubt Doc Ock will be in Civil War though.
Who knows, this could be a good way to introduce Spidey's characters. Have him as a scientist somewhere in the background. Possibly working for Oscorp.

I agree but for him as Osborn. Having the government come up with their own team in CW lead by Osborn would be amazing. Or he could join Tony's side and become Iron Patriot.

Freeman would be a great Ock! Sure, it's not very likely, but he could fit into the story of Civil War. I'm not so sure about him as Osborne, though.

I don't have any hope that they'd acknowledge BP as their inventor since they dumped Ultron on Stark as opposed to Pym.
Good point.

I'd rather not have that happen. As much as I liked TASM series, one of the biggest complaints from critics and people who didn't like it was having Oscorp someone/something other than fate cause Peter to become Spider-man, and I sorta feel like that is the same premise.

If/when we get to venom I rather see them do brock well first. So we have venom be in a solo spidey movie. Then end it with Eddie taken away and the govt takes control of the suit. And there we do flash as venom. Plus if we have teen peter and midtown cast. I would wait to at least phase 4 for flash venom. Since flash would just be a kid.

You need at least one movie of Spidey wearing the symbiote and showing Brock's animosity before doing a movie with Venom. First movie is about Peter as Spider-Man. This would also introduce Brock. Then, in Infinity War, he finds the costume and uses it. Second movie, he ditches the costume, and we get Venom.

That sounds fine or if not Hammerhead use Shocker. :woot:

I think Fisk's right hand man needs a level of sophistication and I doubt Fisk would trust his business to a mindless thug. Shocker wouldn't ever be Fisk's confidant.

If Tony Stark/Iron man does play a mentor role in the film, than I would say that the introduction of Norman Osborn as Stark's rival and a possible rival attempting take Peter under his wing , with Doc Ock as the villain would be a way to go.

You'd have 3 heavy hitting and popular characters with the GA who could compliment each other and the main focus , Peter Parker in the story.

Yeah, I could only see Fisk maybe hiring him for a low level job or something of that nature.

Would be nice if they finally brought in Tombstone, perhaps. Now there's a villain that doesn't get nearly enough recognition.

I still do want to have norman as a behind the scenes guy ala Fisk in dd. But it would be nice to be different then raimi and Webb series to go a totally different type of villain. And going mysterio I still say is a good one. A totally different type of villain. Great visuals to play with. And all that jazz.

Would love for the Big Man arc in Spectacular Spiderman to be adapted into a live action movie. They definitely did something great with Tombstone.

It shows how adversity and scarcity are the key to epic creative work.

a few years down the line, I wouldn't mind them try to tack Green Goblin again. If so they should cast Cole Hauser's ass. Also, can someone explain Norman Osborn's hairstyle.

About Venom, I'd rather they take their time with that. I want to see a whole movie with Spiderman in the Venom suit, then at the end he rips it off and in a later film Venom forms and goes after Spiderman. I'd also skip straight past Eddie Brock and on to Flash Thompson. My trajectory for Flash/Venom goes as follows:

> Spiderman 2017 - Flash is Peter's high school bully. But he's a big Spidey fan.
> Spiderman 2 - Flash gets a security job at Oscorp and proves to be very talented. But loses his legs in an accident.
> Spiderman 3 - Peter finds the symbiote suit. At the end he tears it off and it makes its way to Oscorp to team up with Osborn and get revenge against Spidey. Osborn chooses Flash as the test subject for the symbiote bonding.
> Thunderbolts Movie - This movie would focus on various villains from Phase 3 teaming up, including Venom and Green Goblin.
> Spiderman 4 - Venom as the main villain. Eventually Flash takes control of the symbiote.
> Agent Venom franchise, Guardians crossovers etc.

ETA: They could sort of take Eddie's hatred for Peter/Spiderman and transfer that to Flash. Maybe Flash blames Spiderman for his accident and wants vengeance. But eventually he realises that Venom has taken him too far, and he manages to wrest back control and become Agent Venom.

Pretty neat, also Flash losing his legs in an accident due to Spidey fighting a baddie would be a good way to justify his hatred
