I agree about Gangs of New York. Though it was choppy at times with mixed performances, the shear scope of the film should have won Scorcese the Oscar over "Chicago".

But not to take anything away from 'The Departed'! It was a straight up badass ganster shootemup and I was glad it took Best Picture as well!

I watched the beginning, but considering the Oscar's start around 3 A.M here, it was really damn late, and I ended up falling asleep before the "important" prizes.

I did see Eddie Murphy get snubbed though...

Because compared to Nemo and The Incredibles, Cars was a horrible let down. It was pretty much your typical sappy romantic comedy, only animated. Plus it had Larry the Cable Guy in it and any movie that features Larry The Cable Guy, recieving an oscar is one of the signs of the Apocolypse.

Monster House should've won though.

It was hardly what you would call "snubbed". He got nominated. And that was enough considering the normal crap he churns out (Norbit).

Funny thing though: EM was on the red carpet talking to Joan Rivers b/f the show, and she asked what his favorite movie of his was. Eddie said, "Oh, I don't know. I like all of them...I even like Pluto Nash."

lol no but you're an idiot, "every Christian were pissed", like they care about the stupid Oscars.
