Exactly, even though Ock may appear dead, nobody knows for sure. I mean he probably won't return, but he sure has a chance.
And yet you complain about how much Spider-Man 2 focused on Peter Parker.
The only sense that we don't know Doc Ock is dead is that he's a fictional character. The same way we can say 'nobody knows if he'll return' we can say 'nobody knows if the teletubbies will be the villains in Spider-Man 4'.
If you use logic and reasoning you know the teletubbies won't be in Spidey 4, the same way we know Ock is dead.
Your not going to convince everyone Doc is dead... the fans are split down the middle on this... you might think you are right along with the other half of people... but the half that believes that Doc might come back think you guys are wrong... lets just leave it at that.
OK, my mistake about the Spider-Man 2 comment.
I don't claim to have any solid, inarguable proof that Doc Ock is dead. But my argument, which is that his story arc is completed and died a heros death, does appear to make more sense than any argument for his survival.
Thank you. While everyone has given plenty of ways Ock could come back in practical terms (all of which still sound like cheating to me; the rules of people coming back to life are far different than they are in comics and soap operas, people), I have yet to hear any overwhelming evidence as to why he should come back.
Ock had a very good amount of screen time in Spider-Man 2. Anyway, as I said before, Ock has a good chance of not returning though. I mean, he basically drowned to death. Though, this is a comic book film and in comics a Villian pretty much always returns. However, this is not a comic book and somethings may not work out as good as it would in the comics. I'm not just jumping to conclusions though because if I remember correctly, Sam said that Ock isn't dead and it was hinted on the special features of Spidey2 at the end of the Ock-umentary.I can't wait until the good Doctor returns. I'm one who believes that he should come back. There just wasn't enough of him in SM2, I'd like to see something much better written, with even better action, and ol' Ocky has plenty of great stories without using Sinister Six.
Lol, Visionary, your too much.I said I want more Ocky...I shouldn't have to repeat myself...now get me more Ocky!
agreed. I think he has 0 chance of returning.Ock had a very good amount of screen time in Spider-Man 2. Anyway, as I said before, Ock has a good chance of not returning though. Very true, Ock just was convinced by Peter and decided to do the right thing.Ock did not die a hero. Rectifying your own mistakes doesn't make you a hero.

I applaud you for a great post. That's not what I mean. And, that's not what happened, either. Ock volunteered to drown it. Spidey was going to do it, but Ock stopped him.
I mean correcting your own mistakes doesn't make you a hero. Ock created the danger.
Spider-Man isn't called a hero because he's going around cleaning up his own messes, is he? No. He's a hero because he selflessly puts himself on the line for other people's bad deeds.
let's say he didn't die a hero...but he died as a good man.Ock did not die a hero. Rectifying your own mistakes doesn't make you a hero.
let's say he didn't die a hero...but he died as a good man.
that's the main reason why he shouldn't be back.
and did you take your posts from Ock/Joker Fan or something?
I mean correcting your own mistakes doesn't make you a hero. Ock created the danger.
I think Frank Miller once said if you do the right thing, you're a hero.![]()
