The Avengers Who's going to die in the Avengers?

cobie is signed on for more films. she wont die

Everyone of the actors is signed for multiple films but that doesn't necessarily mean that their characters will live to appear in them. It's standard practice. When Smulders speaks about her hopes for sequels she could just be bluffing. Hill could still die of lead poisoning or with a tentacle wrapped around her throat.

I have to admit that the prospect of Hill's death cheers me immensely. I don't think she will die yet, mind you, but the possibility keeps me hopeful.

I'm going to be unfazed if she dies, I've always disliked Mariah Hill.

Hill seems to have bee created to be hateful and she definitely fulfilled her mission. They should have her follow in the footsteps of Henry Peter Gyrich in X-Men and get killed in some offhand way. Perhaps one of the aliens can maul her to death. That would be fitting.

If there's any previously introduced character that will likely die in this, it's Selvig. As much as I would hate to see it, Coulson, and possibly Hawkeye, could concievably die in sequels somewhere down the line.

I can see Coulson dying (:csad:) but not Hawkeye. Especially since he's been getting pretty popular lately.

Hill's one of those characters who was created long after I grew out of reading comics so to me there's no emotional investment in her what so ever. She's basically a non-entity to me and was never part of my childhood. So I really couldn't care less what happens to her.

Why not?

I feel the same way about her since my comics reading has been sparse of late. But I have read some of the stuff Hill was involved in (part of Civil War (ugh!)) and she was simply awful. I found the character worse than a villain because typically one can at least love to hate the bad guys, if not outright love them. Hill has such an ugly persona and vicious attitude that I could never warm up to her. Maybe she came off better in books I haven't read. *shrugs*

She's okay in the recent Iron Man arcs that I've read with her in it, but I'm still very "meh" on her.

Hordes of invading aliens died in the final battle. Poor souls. :oldrazz:

I was sad for the supporting character who died in the movie. But I didn't like that they were very emotional about it especially
Iron Man
.

Soooo.....how many people accurately chose
Agent Coulson
as the one that died?

I wonder why that is? I mean what pegged
Agent Coulson
as the one most likely to be offed in the movie?

At least it means that the name 'The Avengers' made sense - cos now they had someone to avenge!

because Whedon loves killing fan favorites. It's a common practice of his.

A lot of us had figured he'd bite it in this well before Whedon was ever rumored to get the director's chair. Simply because he's been somewhat built up and familiar already and he's not from the comics so it's not like killing him off was going to mess with any sort of canon. He was the most logical choice from square one. Started calling it back when he showed up again in IM2.
