Because she is not liberal enough for liberals. She's too liberal for conservatives. And moderates see past her moderate image as nothing more than a pathetic act in an attempt to gain the Presidency.

In simple terms: she's a fake. She's a woman who want's her husband's job and will do anything to get it by putting on this act of being a "moderate" when in truth she is not really a moderate that she is trying to portray herself as.

i asked the same question last year and most people's response was that she's a phony and that she'll say or do anything to become president. i don't really know a whole lot about her, but you'd think there'd be worse democrats for republicans to stew over.

This has nothing to do with republicans and democrats.

As a person, she's not likable person.

I think the only reason she became Senator was the Republican candidate was too unknown and NY is a heavily democratic state.

Because at the moment she has the best chance at being the Democratic candidate for the 2008 election and the Republicans don't want to give up the Presidency. The others really don't stand a chance unless Hillary says that she is not going to run. Why, because she's a Clinton, and Bill Clinton was a good President.

In my opinion, the only way the Republicans will win the 2008 election is if John McCain or Rudy Gulliani receive the nomination. They will be unbeatable if they run together.

Exactly she's too much of a fake.

Is it because she gives off the horrible stench of a phony

And Rudy Gulliani dropped out of the Senate race.

I hate the fact that she's from Arkansas and had to become a senator for NY why not run in your own state?

    What a carpet muncher.

You just described about 98% of the politicians in America who will say anything to elected...

Poeple (or should I say men) don't like Hillary because she is a powerful woman and they are scared by her.

Yes, but Hillary sucks at it especially. :o
Not me. I have no problem with powerful women - I have a ton of respect for Conde Rice for instance - it's just Hillary...as I said, seems more phony than most other politicians.

She couldn't even choose between the Yankees and Mets. I know it's trivial but sometimes even trivial stuff reflects on a person.

If people actually looked at Hillary Clinton's past and current accomplishments they might actually learn that she is geat politician who actually cares about the "people" of this country.

Her efforts over the years to help children and women (both here and around the World) is amazing and deserves much praise.

I have a lot of respect for Hillary Clinton and, personally, would love to see her serve as the next President of the US (she certainly has my vote).

People dislike her for previously supporting the defensisive marriage act to stop gays from getting married. they dislike her for continuing to vote for funding for the war in Iraq.

Me personallY? I plan on voting for her when she wins the nomination, but I don't consider her to be "perfect" for the job. I think she would be a descent president, but not a miraculous amazing president.

I think Howard Dean would do an excellent job as president, but he just isn't electable. He knows what laws need to be passed and when they need to be passed, but he just doesn't have the ability to charm voters the way other contenders have.

Yeah, Conde Rice is such a powerful woman... making herself look like an idiot while mantaining that air of authority. To me she just comes off as an opertunist who chose a sinking ship. Her power doesn't come from her own sense of being a woman, or being black; it comes from her white male supperiors who allow her the "honer" of being their posterchild for their compassion and let her spout out the party line. Hardly a powerful woman.

All that said, I find Hillary to be both an opertunist and to have about as much charisma as a broom. You'ld think with all the complaints over the past two elections of Democrats being too elitist, they could choose someone better that Hillary "I'm so much smarter than you that I'm just going to talk down to you and you'll elect me for it" Clinton.
