The Dark Knight why such a late release date for TDK????

Don't understand the hate on here towards Transformers. That film was GREAT! Must have seen it around four to five times in theaters. Just a really fun ride from beginning to end.

Or is it the 'dis' on BB and TDK? If that's what it is I understand the response since, imo, BB was the best blockbuster in YEARS and best superhero film period.

But, I'd put TF as one of the better blockbusters in years, just not as high as BB.

The loud noise of Witnicky's horrible jokes and agressively bad dialogue ruined the entire film. Really, they had a decent plot, the perfect actors, leave it to Bay to screw a good idea up. That wasn't a fun ride, more than an annoying expierence. During the last thirty minutes I couldn't tell what the hell was happening.

And to the OP; They have to shoot, market, edit, screen, and then market some more. Once marketing is nearly done, they have to go to premiere's.

The filmmaking process is an exhausting one.

Point is Raimi worked hard to make it the best fcking god damn film he could. Read the behind the scenes book and you may learn something. I have ALOT of respect for what Raimi had to put up with throughout pre-production and throughout all production stages.

w.b. are very smart...tdk and indiana jones will be getting 25x the amount of press everyone else gets next summer...so they spread it out...

plus, JULY is a far better month for big sequels than May is... just ask Pirates 2, Spiderman 2, ect.

July gives box office legs May cant touch due to huge weekdays as everyones on summer vacation. Its a unanimous decision among most predictors that tdk has the best release date next summer, followed by indiana jones and then get smart.

Just point out ignorance when I see it and that was the most ignorant comment I've seen- for a very long time. Regardless of what anyone thinks of the movie, the one undeniable fact was it was the SM film that was worked on the hardest.

There's a difference in opinion in quality vs. the amount of time put into working on a film.

I didn't find SM3 to be that bad, found it to be enjoyable and a different take. I can see where others didn't like it though.

But, still hating a product and the amount of time put into making a product are two COMPLETELY different things.

That movie was like they were making a puzzle and spent years working on it. But they looked at every little piece one by one.. Then when it was done they finally looked at the big picture and it was a big pile of crap. With many missing pieces. Someone shoulda stopped and said hey you know we are making crap? oh well just my opinion

They didn't spend nearly enough time thinking through the story. If they had learned that little lesson, maybe there film wouldn't have sucked as much.
