That strikes me as such an awful choice. Not only would Raimi incur the wrath of the fanbase, but to

build Brock up only to let him wear the symbiote for ten minutes before he dies is such a waste.

Maybe Brock may die they say or he is just knocked out, hospital status. What if they introduce Scorpion and he becomes Venom like in the comics?

If Brock dies, I'll be pissed. They work up all his hatred for Spidey and PP and throw it away in the end? He should become Venom, be beaten, and go away...for now.

I think Venom isn't going to be only 10 min, maybe that's the length of the final fight with Spidey, but I think that following Peter and the symbiote's fusion with Brock will be at least 45 min before the movie ends... Raimi knows what he's doing...

Yeah but that was posted a long time ago, things might have changed since then, no one knows, some facts were kind of obvious for the one who created the Q&A, like Harry dying, the actor said it was his last film so Harry kind of had to die... Just an example...

Should the movie end with Pete & MJ being broken up or should they reconcile & get married at the end? Despite Pete & MJ winding up together in Spider-Man 2 there hasn't really been a big happy ending for any of the Spidey films. If this is to be the last film for awhile I would hate for it to end on a sad note with so many deaths.

I think ten minutes is enough for Venom.

The real antagonist is the symbiote, and he's the main thing in the movie. Venom is the symbiote attached to Eddie Brock, and that doesn't have to happen for a long time. It's actually better if it doesn't, because that would emphasize the danger of the situation. Having Venom jump around the city declaring his hatred of Spider-Man for several minutes would be bannalizing (not to say cheesing-up) the character.

Actually I thought of that a couple times... If Venom indeed shows up only in the last ten minutes, it´s very likely that he was simply being set up for part four, and since he´s introduced, it makes sense that the movie ends with a cliffhanger.

no...it doesn't make sense. venom won't just be introduced with 10 mins to go in the movie. he'll be created probably 45 minutes until the end. the 10 minutes is just the big fight between venom and spidey.

Worked for LOTR. The first two Spidey movies had sort of a cliffhanger element.
