Will Hulk be leaping and running fast in the movie?

after talking with the president, he does multiple long distance leaps without any intermedial running.

all two footed jumps, or hops.


not the couple of lil pre jumps he does just after sprinting.

He has done this several times in the comics. One time with a huge smile on his face. It's how he gets around. But I wouldn't call three mile leaps a bunny hopping though. Well, it's just that bunny and Hulk just don't go together. t:

duration or distance isn't a characteristic of a hop, rather the technique used...

i.e. two footed jump with a somewhat standing start and also a two footed landing.

That would explain it if the issue were the comics (i.e., versions of the Hulk). But I, for one, am hardly familiar with individual issues, versions, etc., so whoosh! out the window that argument goes...

The issue is what makes SENSE, and apparently, some of you have your heads so utterly buried in the comics that you can't see anything else. Hulk MUST jump from plateau to plateau or your entire movie-watching experience is ruined. Sad. For your sake, I hope to heck that Hulk leaps into a low-earth orbit in TIH. It's pretty clear you're going to be seeking counseling afterwards, if he doesn't.

How else is he going to get around, take a cab?... Hulk's really strong, it stands to reason that his legs would be too and that he can jump a heck of alot farther than anyone ever has. Only one or two people seem to think him jumping so far is a problem or unrealistic. I'm not a comicbook reader and for me it makes sense that he can jump so far.

That was what I was saying haha, except I asked dude what was he supposed to do hitch a ride or take a bus haha. If Hulk doesn't leap in the movie it's going to be the same old boring scenery. When he jumps you can start from the desert and end up in the city in no time which makes it exciting. If Hulk can pick up Tanks and launch them like they aren't much then I imagine his legs were just as strong and it wouldn't take much to launch his own body. It amazes me how these people can accept a 9 foot Green Monster yet think it's unrealistic that he runs fast and jumps high, haha makes no sense!

I don't mind if they have Banner walking and hitching a ride from place to place like in the TV series- I mean, that's a pretty iconic piece of imagery as well as a good score. But the Hulk shouldn't be complacent. He should be a defensive and raging beast, and slowly blundering around is not what I would call "conveying rage."

no, were talking about the canyon hops he did before his 3rd jump where he got major air... and looks kinda like he's flying

he fell nearly as fast as he jumped up... looks wierd

Its a comicbook movie, i.e., a fantasy film! Damn! Some people just don't get it. It's fantasy plain and simple.

Stop overthinking it.

running.... hulk to me was always more of a runner then a "hopper"

If it was ok for Lou Ferrigno to run down the street EVERY SINGLE episode, then it better be ok for Hulk to run at pretty fast speeds and leap through the air. I think the only problem was the cgi was choppy during some of the running, most notably when he was on the side of the cliff dodging the helicopter shots, it just didn't look too good in that particular scene, but just like it was said earlier, if we can suspend reality to even enjoy the Hulk character in the first place then running and leaping shouldn't be too much of a stretch...

i thought his running was at its best during those scenes, it had views like the camera trying to keep up with him and strugling, it also had views that made him look like he was running on a 400m track etc...

all very good shots i thought.

I thought his running seems were fine and regarding what was said earlier, his leaping is a very important part of him. Is it beleivable...no but then none of it is...yet can it happen with the premise of the movie, of course it can.

Taking Hulk's leaping ability away from him is like taking away Superman's flying ability (which again is completely based on nothing)

I guess spideyboy would perhaps want more of a pause inbetween landing, recovering and then jumping again.

This is respectable as long as with each landing there is a considerable amount of ground damage.
