will "SPIDER-MAN 3" make more then the previous two?

Oddly enough, I think you'll find that among casual audiences, venom is a more familiar and "cooler" character than any other spidey villain. The general gist is that he's spidey's opposite and he wants to seriously screw up spidey's life. Venom will fill seats, its a given.
it will be hard for spiderman to beat venom. the whole movie will fill seats venom, sandman, alien symbiote spidey the story everything will fill seats thats why i think this will be the biggest and the best one of the series.

I'm starting to hope the damn thing flops, just so you all can shut the hell up about the box office success, to a movie that's over 7 months away...and stop making these foolish ass box office threads!

These days?

Unfortunately, its been that way since the 80s.
But his popularity has increased since he was created. His fanbase is now bigger than Al-Queda. :sym:

Well it's a lose-lose situation for you :o If the movie bombs, people will be making threads about why it bombed at the box office and if it is a box office success (duh), then we will have threads about it being a success.:)

ok this time, logically back this up.

You must be really dense to not know what i mean. Let me spell it out - althouth the grand vile one is quite correct that Venom will attract fans of his to sit through the film numerous times, it does not mean that he will attract a new audience. He is a spidey villain after all, so spidey fans who are also fans of Venom will be seeing this film anyway. not stirred but I bet you shake it all the time.:cmad:

I think that this film will definately make more than "Spider-Man 2", and has a good chance to make more than the original Spider-Man. I think this not only because Spidey's most popular villian is in the movie, but also because of its darker nature and (in my opinion, from what I've read) better story. But these aren't the only reasons I think it will do better. While some may think that having Shrek 3, POTC 3, HP5, F42, and Transformers coming out after it would be a bad thing, I think it will have the opposite effect. I think that this gives Spider-Man 3 a good chance at making a new Opening Weekend record, because people will want to see this movie in time for the other movies to open, so that they can see them too. Also, people who don't normally go to see movies will look at all of the options available and think, "Wow, with all of these great sounding movies playing, I should see one or two". And because Spider-Man is the most popular superhero movie franchise, this movie will be one that those people will choose.
At least, these are my mindless ramblings. Feel free to berate me now. yay!

spiderman3 will beat the first two, this is the biggest one of the series, peter will lose people in his life and the people he love, the alien symbiote, venom sandman and the story, and alot of other things is what is ganna make this movie great.

Let's put this to another level. Choose a $5m amount and we'll see who wins.
I predict $350-$355 million, or less than the first two. My reasoning: flooded market in 2007. I wish we had that problem all of the time, too many good movies to see. There isn't one movie out right now that even peaks my interest.

I hope I am wrong and SM3 breaks all records...

That was kind of my point. Since his conception he's out-popularised every other spidey villain.

Your the one who's dense if you believe venom wont attract a new audience. I know over half a dozen people who know nothing about comics and comic-related issues and they're hyped to see sm3, soley because of venom and the black suit's influence on spider-man. Instead of trying to lay your egg which ,by your post appears to have been a painful experience try to at least think outside the proverbial and stop being such a bone-headed fanboy. Nutter.:o

spiderman3 will defenitley break records, im sure of it.

I think harry as the bad guy will attract more audeinces, because the general cinema goers who have only followed these movies will be far more interested in the conflict climax between spider-man and harry
