Liz would be a cool villain...but there is just too much happening at the moment.
I know, there's just too much as it is, they don't need another villain running around. :(

Well if part 3 is the last one they might as well have him in it.

I agree, but it goes both ways, they could always just save him for a later movie, which may never happen, or give him a small part in an already crowded movie, probably making him a Bane from B&R, ruining him. But it would be better to see him than never see him I guess. :p

If there were 5 villians in third movie, I would hate it.

3+ is enough for one superhero movie.

And I really hope it will be the last, because 4, 5 and 6 movies wouldn't have sense to be made.

Besides, I hate re-casting.

Indeed, I'd rather they not make anymore than recast.

Unless they did an older Spidey or something.

I think SM4 will be the last one. They will never do 6. They will do 4 and in maybe ten to twelve years from now, start over with a new cast.

I can live with an SM4 only if Rami and Tobey and Baker come back... but it would be a stupid investment for Sony... they will struggle making 300 million if that... not good enough for a SPidey film...

i think it's a much better idea to release it in the summertime
of June-July rather than May 4th, 2007.

let the kiddos that are outta school build up the daytme box office
some more.

now that public have seen Spidey on film and in action
i'm not sure if he will have as great a splash
at the box office as he did upon his 1st film premiere.

Because creators wanted to choose ultimate girlfriend for Pete. And to make it more like tradegy they used Gwen as the victim.

Besides, not anything, what worked in comics, will work in the movie.

well peter and mj have been doing the break-up, make-up thing for years. she even left him after they where married. it could work for a movie.

THey wanna go with the sure fire 400 million rather than risk it... throwing it in the middle of Shrek and Transformers and Pirates 3 is a risk...

10 to 12 years?? you got to be joking. there's now way they going to wait that long to cash in on a cash cow like spider-man. they ask the cast and crew to sign for 3 more first. if they don't they'll recast and in maybe 5 years at the most we'll have a new spider-man movie mark my words.

10 to twelve years is a good bet... but why stop there... if SM4 makes good movie they will start the trilogy again

Ten/twelve years from now is 2016-2018. SM4 won't come out til 2009 or 2010. That's 6 to 8 years in between series. Batman done it, Superman done it. I don't see Sony recasting until some time have pass in between series.

Again, you just dont want to understand me.

Gwen cant be his girlfriend for other movies and the last should have Pete and MJ together.

It is just like Superman and Lois Lane.

If SM3 breaks all records and racks in a ton of cash...Sony will be hounding the cast and crew to sign for a 4th and maybe 5th and 6th.

WTF are u smoking... Batman took 8 years from B & R... what you said was only two years from SM3... as far as recasting... when Tobey... Gopher... Bryce... Raimi... DUnst command double digit figures... let's just say even Sony will be scratching their heads...

SM4: 2010 earliest (with same cast/director)
SM4: 2015-2022 (with different people... new trilogy setup)

Are you all crazy?

They would better make the new beginning (just like BB) than sequel to 10 years old trilogy.

fine 2011-2015 earliest... with a new cast... they'd be smart to take a break an focus on the cartoons though... if the toons can give you five good seasons... why rush with the films... although I don't know that Sony is in charge of the toons... they can also carry the franchise with Merchandise and video games rather than spending 200 million every three years to make crappier and crappier sequels

I gave a timetable of 8 years... I said 2015-2022... that's 8 years minimum... and Batman started of with a new trilogy in place... why make one sequels ten years from now...

Well, however many there will be we can only speculate until Sony (not the fanboys) tell us if there is going to be more Spidey movies after 3.

I do not think anybody is disputing that but there is such thing as love on the rocks, relationship triangles, breakups and reconciliations.

A good Spider-Man film can still be made with MJ written out of a story(s) for a 1000 different reasons or only having a cameo in later films.

Not every Spider-Man tale has to have Peter coming to the rescue of MJ or involving their relationship.

I hope SOny tells us this like right before SM3... just to beef up numbers... like they did with xmen... something like, "This is the end of this trilogy... a conclusion to all the characters and story lines..." from what we know already... that looks to be the case...

What is? the time table? I don't expect everyone to be back... which is why I left a big gap...
