Guess I'll be tuning into survivor series tomorrow with the Sting rumor

Watching World Tag League day 1. Is it me or is Conway pretending to be Macho Man?

I wonder who's gonna color commentate with Jim Ross for Wrestle Kingdom 9. Mike Tenay? CM Punk? Jerry Lawler? Steve Corino?

It will be interesting who they hire.

At least for this event, he won't have a crazed maniac yelling at him through a headset like he did in WWE.

Oh of course. He even said that now he can truly tell stories with these fresh names. I don't doubt him when he says that Okada/Tanahashi will be the best match he ever calls.

Ross could always pull a Joey Styles and go solo.

Definitely, but the rumor mill right now is GFW is looking for a color commentator to go with Jim Ross' play-by-play announcing for the Dome.

What about Stan Hansen? He knows a lot about Japanese wrestling and is friendly with JR.

I wonder if Schivone's busy.

Tony is currently busy with Minor League Baseball, but that would be something. The two voices of the Monday Night War commentating together in the Tokyo Dome. Schiavone has a great understanding of the New Japan product that could anchor Jim Ross in a way.

Nigel McGuiness is a possibility, but I don't care for him as a commentator personally.

I really like Nigel on commentary. I'd take him over the ******** commentary on Raw and the generic commentary on NXT any day of the week.

Well, Raw has a mentally unstable egomaniac yelling on headsets.

NXT commentary was good until they took Regal off.

I like Albert and Renee on commentary. Riley's heel routine comes off like he's trying to hard and the other two are interchangeable as far as I can tell.

I went back and watched the original Survivor Series main event: Team Hogan Vs. Team Roussimoff. Its surprisingly good considering most of the participants were hosses. The action was fast paced for 15 minutes straight. Lots of tags and emphasis on teamwork. Orndorff gave a wonderful performance and Patera was on fire for this! The Richfield crowd was going wild until Hogan's numbers started to dwindle before Bigelow gave a valiant effort against insurmountable odds.
.

I remember being shocked that Hogan's team lost. That was in the era where Hogan or Hogan's team was a shoe-in for victory whether it was PPV, SNME, or a house show. Even if the odds dwindled to Hogan vs a team of heels, Hogan would destroy them all. However, that night began the road to WrestleMania 4.

Albert just isn't that noticeable to me. He's not bad but he's not as clever or insightful as Regal was. Renee I like but the play by play guys blow and Riley is meh. I don't see why Scott Stanford can't do play by play on NXT. He does the voice-overs.

It won't happen.. But it would be pretty sweet if CM Punk was alongside JR.

If you want to be completely surprised then don't post in a wrestling thread in the modern era. It's rumor about an appearance, not something confirmed.

Yet people still use spoiler tags in other forums. It just seems like common courtesy.

- While there haven’t been many details on the backstage RAW meeting that Rey Mysterio and Vince McMahon had a few weeks ago in Buffalo, word is that one of the pitches Vince made was to give him more creative control over who he works with. As noted, WWE really wants Rey back on TV but Rey is adamant that he wants to leave the company.

- Many within WWE continue to wonder what’s with the booking of Cesaro. Officials have gone back and forth on having him as a heel or babyface, which we’ve seen play out on TV. Cesaro is well-liked backstage but it was described as “one of those things” where Vince McMahon is all for the push one week and then against it the next week.

Has the Survivor Series card grown at all, or is it still only the five matches?

Is it true he said on Twitter that he was sick of seeing Cena vs Orton?
