8.5/10 It was nice seeing the Wolfman rip up bodies in a vicious way, plus I liked the story.

8/10.

Not as good as I was hoping, but still pretty good. Acting was dry in parts, some story ideas weren't needed, the love story needed more developing, and it just didn't have an epic enough feel.

I was hoping for a King Kong quality film, but I don't think it was up to that.

Still, good movie. Wolfman=incredible. Transformations=brilliant.

Just got back from the showing.

Sadly, only got one good jump scare on me. [BLACKOUT]Singh hanging near the end of the film.[/BLACKOUT]

The pacing was all over the map, some terrible editing, and some pretty laughable CGI.

Having said that though, I really did like some of the violence and gore, and I wouldn't call any of the performances weak, it just seemed that none of the characters were given enough time to flesh them out on screen.

This pretty much reflects my view of the film. The editing and pacing were some of the worst I've ever seen. The thing is, I'm almost positive there is a really good movie in here some where. Some of the scenes really worked. Certain plots are alluded to but never fleshed out. I'm really eager to see the extended cut.

It just shows that Valentines Day weekend is the perfect time for girls to drag their boyfriends to a lame romantic comedy.

I actually dragged my girlfriend to see Valentines Day. It looked way more interesting than the Wolfman.

What is wrong with people Wolfman should be crushing the others. I mean Valentines Day beating out both shows that people will fallow a flashy light anywhere.

Did you actually think that this would beat a movie with the same title as the holiday in which it was released the same weekend on???

It's Valentines Day. Most couples want romance and lovey dovey crap...they aren't going to go see the Wolfman slash and howl over a romantic comedy. It was stupid to release this movie this weekend.

6/10

The pacing was off and some of the characters were too wooden for my liking, there were some nice Wolf kills. I expected an epic film and I am disappionted with what I saw.

Was Emily Blunt any good in this?

I liked her in it, I liked everyone but Del Toro. I thought his acting was awful and he was miscast.

Thanks, good to hear, becoming a bit of a fan!

I really enjoyed it, much more than I thought I would. I thought Del Toro was actually really good and he reminded me of Lon Chaney, Jr. Loved the look and feel of the movie. Hoping for a sequel, maybe he can come back and fight
Weaving's wolfman.

I forgot to say that I give the movie a 7.5 out of 10. I liked it despite a terrible lead performance.

7/10. A little slow at times, but all and all a good movie. I would be up for a sequel.

The reason why this film is getting bad reviews is simply because film critics look down upon horror films I can't think of any recent horror film that has an overall positive opinion asides from Paranormal Activity.

Yeah, you cannot take film critics seriously when it comes to horror movies.

I don't know... there were a few couples who went to see The Wolfman rather than Valentine's Day. Not a lot but a solid amount of them did, it wasn't just older college-age guys seeing it.

I personally think Universal saw the terrific opening weekend for the Friday the 13th remake and decided to stick The Wolfman there. It's solid counterprogramming against the rom-com and the kids' fantasy movie -- the four-day weekend gross is projected to be $35M, definitely more than Universal thought it would bring in.

Maybe some truth in this but at the same time most horror films of this era have been awful.

Saw this earlier tonight for my Valentines Date. Now luckilly my girlfriend is awesome and was totally on board for it, instead of attempting to drag me to "Valentines Day"

I must say after all the pushbacks and problems I was impressed by and fully enjoyed the end result. One thing that really suprised me was how genuinely scary it was. Initially in the trailers i was put off by the cg transformations, but on the big screen it looked far better (cg should never be judged on internet trailers alone) What really sold me on it though was durring one tranformation you could see and hear a few of his teeth litterally crack as his jaw shifted.

I can totallly see why a lot of people do not like del toro in this though i thought it was livible.
Hopkins was tottally sweet in this movie, Weaving as always takes the cake.

The scene with the group of scientists with lawrence strapped into the chair was amazing.

also i must say i dig the ending above all.

Well to be honest Hopkins was lead actor if ask me and Deltoro was supporting actor even though called lead Actor in this one. Yes i am aware Deltoro character is main character but seems like Hopkins is lead actor in my view of the whole movie

Anthony Hopkins .......How he became cursed? There was no suspense to it. It just happens. He killed Ben? He just says it and it's not even shocking.

He does explain his motives and how he became cursed as well. The scene in the mental ward. He came off as a weirdo to me though and i didn't feel like we needed two of them but it still worked .

I thought the were some good scares and people were jumping . The Wolfman was made effectively scary and I liked the gore scenes . I thought in the visual department it was outstanding . One of the coolest
scenes is when the Wolfman falls in the trap and claws his way out .
The only negative for me was that it should of been a little longer.

You misread what I typed. I know he explains the how and why. I just felt that there wasn't any build up or anything. It was just thrown at you. And it was just so casual that it didn't have any effect.
