Wolverine: Old Man Logan

The excuse for that was that they were so "caught off guard" they didnt know what to do. Really dumb but at that point in the book you take anything.

That's a good tagline. "Mark Millar's comics: so dumb you'll take anything."

I agree it is stupid, but He didn't kill Emma Frost. She's with old ass Blackbolt in the only sector of the country where mutants are allowed. Make sense cause Wolverine lives on the other side of the country and he's a mutant. And her powers project what she looks like now so no one can see her aged. Which make sense cause thats never been a power of hers. good tagline.

I took it that she was just altering the image of herself in everyones head.

can she do that. It was understanding she didn't have the ability to do that. My reference is the Dark Phoenix Saga so I'm sure at some point they changed her abilities.

Or her mutant powers became more powerful over the years? ;) Anyhow i confess, i find Old Man Logan awesome, sure its really far fetched idea of Wolverine offing everyone, but its really a small deal when it comes to all the awesome action, the awesome Red Skull and yeah. Millar knows how to write Hawkeye as the most awesome *****ebag there is. =D

Well seeing as she is a telepath its within her range of abilities and the Dakr Phoenix Saga happened years ago, so she most certainly developed stronger telepathy since then.

Oh and Drz im totally with you as far-fetched as this story is, its also just so ****ing cool.

She's had the ability to project illusions into people's minds since at least the mid-80s

I thought that was just because of Mastermind, but now I'm remembering the Uncanny X-Men Annual from when Dark Reign began where she used the illusion powers. my bad.

It's better than any What If? story I've read in a long time. :D

Mark Millar's comics:

[YT]kHZC4IDzDLU[/YT]And then you pay him three four dollars.

...Goddamn I love that youtube.

Joe Quesada really needs to start acting like a boss and heavily enforce deadlines on his writers and artists cause this is getting ridiculous.

Holy **** I just

Look

I'm going to need a minute here.

INSANE FINALE! lol. Millar is a crazy nut, this book is filled with off-the wall violence but somehow...it works! lol Did anybody else read this yet?

Yeh I really loved the way the kill scenes were done. Wolverine was like Jason Voorhees just popping up and scaring the hell out of his victims before slashing through them in true horror film genre fashion.

It was also cool to see Banner portrayed as a dick. Ive never though of him as good man.

Question for those of you who read this: What's the deal with Thor's hammer? I saw a variant cover with Thor's hammer and a bunch of people apparently worshiping it or something.

Fair warning: If you tell me Wolverine kills Thor or lifts the hammer, I will curse. A lot.

Thor has died and there are no heroes lef tso the people are worshiping Thor's hammer so that he might return and bring about a new age of heroes. Many have tried to more the hammer but cant. It's sort of like Excaliber in this instance.

Oh, okay, that's kind of cool. How'd he die? Or does it not say?

I think all the enemies of Asgard and villiains of the Marvel universe took him out collectivly before any other hero. Could be wrong though its been a while since i read that issue

Yeah, Wolverine's motivation for killing them isn't in question. The idea that he could kill all the X-Men is kind of absurd, though. Not only has Cyclops batted him around single-handed, but the X-Men are also the world's single largest collection of telepaths.

While I agree it seemed to be night when mysterio attacked and it could very well have been that logan slaughtered most of them while asleep or just waking up and just thought it was a big brawl. Senario two would be that Mysterio was helping logan slaughter them by casting illusions and misdirections on them while doing the same to logan. Hell for all we know Mysterio had them killing each other thinking they were the beserk logan and then just blamed it all on logan to **** with his head. Mysterio deserves more cred than he gets, against one person he's not that dangerous but he's been shown to **** with the preceptions of large groups of heroes almost taking them all out.

Logan didn't kill thor, it's kinda implied that he and loki bought it in a massive brawl. At least that's the impression I got, but logan definately didn't kill thor. And yeah, thor's hammer becomes exactly like excaliber.

It doesn't really say that. Loki's gigantic skeleton has got the Baxter building on it, they don't indicate what happened either way.

There's a line where Hawkeye refers to Thor as their last great hope, so he was probably the last hero and they all swamped him.

Kinda assumed thor dropped it on him. I mean it's all conjecture but in my mind if thor's getting taken out it should be by loki in a you murder me I murder you senario. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Thor's hammer is in kinda the symbol that of all the Heroes he was the last one to go. Millar has come out saying that he was the very last to die. By the way the ending to this book ****ing blew. Im so pissed. It seemed like ******** after this long of a wait we get ****ing Wolverine riding off into the sunset. That gay ass Sketchbook does not go and do anything for me either, why not make those pages story? I really want a Sequel or more stories in this world. I just did not feel any closure with this ending.

Lol what were you expecting? its Wolverine. You thought he was gonna pop out his claws and not use em? This has always been one big, fun revenge flick and i think on that level it delivered. The only thing that annoyed me was the portrayal of Banner, what made him so evil all of a sudden??
