Okay - just read Origins #5 - and I'm totally confused! LOL...easy to do...

I always thought that his relationship with Silver Fox was an implanted memory - is that still true (based on Origins #5), or did I miss something along the way?

Going back to Origins and Endings, does anyone know what it is that Wolverine told Bucky?? Just re-read it to get ready for today's release, and I had forgotten that moment, and now I'm curious. I've missed bits and pieces here, so not sure if it's something known that I just missed, or perhaps something not yet revealed in the Marvel universe.

Speculation time:
Okay - huge spoiler here. So - Wolverine has a son...a son who hates him. Does anyone believe this to be true - or are they still playing games with his mind. Man - talk about a deadbeat dad...

Do you think that if they do get ahold of Wolverine again, and brainwash him again, that Cyke will kill him, as Wolvie asked him to? If so, does that mean an end to Wolverine? For some reason, I just don't see Marvel killing him off...but who the heck knows. Would his son then take his place? Or...could that blade (not gonna try to spell it off the top of my head) - if used on Wolverine - separate the man from the animal...that would be interesting, eh? Ugh. I hate the suspense!!

Okay - end of my rantings. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Yeah, he does
have a son, with some Savage Land chick, just like Colossus
.

NO...NOT that one...
This is a new revelation, a son by Itsu, his Japanese wife. She was killed, her unborn baby taken from her. The child is Logan's, and supposedly hates him. Next issue, Logan goes searching for his child, and for the people who have screwed up his life so horribly. Of course...there's always the question as to whether even THESE memories are true...but the way things are written, one almost has to believe they are.

Uh...not lame, actually. Very intricate storyline...and one that, if true, has the potential of adding a new character to the Marvel universe (unless, of course, the one in question is already an established character).

Meh, I'm not too interested in seeing another Wolverine fascimile, or see any of his illegitimate children. It's probably just me.

Oh, and by the way: Finding something lame or not is an opinion. Not fact.

You know what would be really cool? Cancelling Wolverine: Origins.

If anyone has actually read the series, I'd appreciate some feedback. I'm not really interested in negative opinions of the character, only in understanding a few things about this current storyline. Sorry if some don't care for Wolverine...if there is a site that discussions about this particular character are more welcome, please let me know where it is, and I'll go there instead.

Thanks.

No, you can talk about it here all you want. Either way, I believe theres a huge thread about this comic in the X-Men forums.

Thanks - but I couldn't seem to find one. Maybe I'm blind.

Hmmm, yeah me neither. Eventually someone will come along and answer your questions.

Probably not. I'm starting to think I'm the only one reading this series...and maybe...just MAYBE...it's really NOT cool to like Wolverine...which is fine by me!

I guess I just need to give it time, afterall, the issue did just come out. I just figured with so many people on this site, someone else would have read it by now...

And wow...I just realized that I say 'just' ...a LOT. I just gotta fix that...

Wrong. Lame. This stuff usually detracts. But I could be wrong. Been there before.

Silver Fox's relation ship was found to be real and was well covered in Wolverine Vol.2 #10,47-50,56-57,60-65,88,125 wolverine's memory of Sabretooth killing her was fake, but Sabretooth did end up killing her anyway.

as far as I know it has not been revealed what Wolverine said to Bucky or it could have been revealed but not in the wolverine origins title.

Wolverine having a son that hates him is the current rumor, yes, but we will have to see, because Wolverine still does not know about him, but appartly he knows Wolverine.

The Muramasa blade has many mystories about it, it can cut through anything as far as we know, by seperating things on a molecular level, it has reflected cyclops opic blast back at him with out mch effort from wolverine. Wolverine soul was bonded to the blade and its supposed to enhance his evil side. but since using the blade, Emma frost has found someone else running around in Wolverines head, so it maybe possessing him. or perhaps Mramas is possessing him, i guess we will have to find out.

you are welcome to ask any Wolverine Questions you want at my site www.LoganFiles.com, just go to the message board forum, hope this helps you

Thanks so much. Like I said, I'm relatively new to the character, so there are things I have missed. I just read #10, 48-50 - but then I *heard* that it was all just an implanted memory, so I wasn't sure what to believe. Thanks for the clarification.

And thank you, too, for the straight answers...it's much appreciated. I just might take you up on that offer...

who cares? the worst s*** they ever did was try to reveal that losers past.

They have yet to get any character correctly written in Wolverine: Origins. The only thing correct about the book is the fact that Wolverine doesn't heal from nuclear explosions.

And why isn't any character, including Wolverine, 'correctly written'? Perhaps they want to move the character beyond the two-dimensional guy he was way back in the beginning, and make him something - and someone - more people can relate to. I get the feeling that as soon as they made Wolverine seem vulnerable, people stopped liking him. Perhaps they just wanted the beer drinking, cigar smoking brut with the funny hairdo. Personally, I'm enjoying these new revelations...it's making his life all the more intriguing...to ME. Sure, it doesn't work for everyone...but it's working for me.

So - please, in all seriousness...how is Wolverine 'wrong' in this series?

Pfft all this Wolverine past stuff sucks. Everyone is stuck on the whole Wolverine is a samurai crap that was injected into his character because Claremont thought it really worked out well when Frank Miller was doing it with Daredevil. Which it did. Also the whole three billion bedded women thing, DD is the original love machine.:o

All comic writers just copy DD stuff onto Wolvie because they realize how inferior Wolvie looks when compared with DD.:o

I haven't read the series, but I'd hardly call Logan two-dimensional before this series started. Sure, like you said, he started off as the anti-hero, beer-drinking badass, but he's slowly grown into quite a character, although we often don't see that thanks to his overexposure.

As lame as Daredevil is, I agree, Wolverine's even worse.
Ummm Corp. Corp. Corp. Everyone knows you're the only one on the boards who thinks Daredevil is lame. You can stop mentioning it 5 times a week. It'll make you look smarter. And cooler!:o

Not Jake said:
That's because he's 100% lame already.:o
There you go. You seem to have forgotten a couple digits there, so I fixed it for you.
