Wolverine Origins Questions (Spoilers)

No, no, no...you misunderstood me. I don't think THIS series (Origins) makes him a better character...I think he's evolved over the years...and especially in the last 10 or so...give or take...whatever. Earlier stuff...well, like Patch...I love him like that, but basically he's just a tough, snarky little guy who plays tricks on Mr. Fixit... and kicks ass. Loved that stuff. But at times it was flat, character-wise. For the most part...(keep in mind I haven't read ALL the earliest Wolverine stories, only bits here and there)... the writers over the past decade or so have really given the character more dimension...more angst and less machismo in his inner dialogue. Both work for me...but I do admit to loving the angst. Angst-****e - that's me. But it's not for everyone, and it seems that, as the writers started fleshing Logan out more, old school fans started parting ways, and newer fans (like myself) started discovering him.

Don't worry man, I love wolvie too- its just all the kewl kids here have discovered that it's the current ''in'' thing to hate on him, thats all it is. Don't take it too personally I am interested in this series when its in tpb. People are just crying right now because he bested cap.

I don't hate Wolverine, I like him, but I recognize that most of the "cool" stuff about him is ripped off from DD

Meh, I'm not too interested in seeing another Wolverine fascimile, or see any of his illegitimate children. It's probably just me.

Oh, and by the way: Finding something lame or not is an opinion. Not fact.

I think it's very intriguing. Just think - Wolverine - the original deadbeat dad. I actually hope it's true, and I actually hope that the next stage in his life is learning to become the sort of father his kid (whether the boy is a child or grown, doesn't matter) needs. There are endless possibilities here - and I hope it's not just gonna be a case of emnity between father and son that goes on forever without there ever being a relationship between the two. In fact, THIS relationship is FAR more interesting than any relationship Logan could ever have with a woman. It's also interesting because it's a son, not a daughter. A daughter - well, Logan's had lots of those, in a way. All the little girls he's taken under his wing. But here's a son...a possible contender for the position of Alpha Male...and THAT makes things very interesting.

I just hope they do right by Wolverine now...

Besides, DD dropped Bullseye from a severe height back in Miller's original run, it was only luck that Bullseye survived. It's reasonable that DD will do the deed if absolutely necessary
