Wolverine VS. Sentinel clip

my bad... just watched it again... THE WHOLE HEAD SPINS AROUND... where is logan on it? NO WHERE!!!!! Then BAM! there he is walking out from behind it. But i saw the whole head spin around... so does he teleport?

I think he just walks out from the smoke, the head hides him until he gets past it.

why sentinels in the danger room? where did they come from? If you ever wanted to introduce them as the MUTANT HUNTING robots in future films to NON FANS (of the comics, but only to the movie) they now only have one reference for these machines. THE DANGER ROOM.

So either xavier created one of the biggest threats to mutants in the danger room... and they escaped into real life????

or TRASK created them and Prof. mind raped him and pulled out the ideas and programmed it into the DR????

either way it is going to kill sentinels for future xfilms. It is nice cameo...if you dont mind that small fact. It is now impossible to put them into a future Xfilm with out really having to pull some **** outta your ass to explain why these GOV. created killing robots were first seen in the DR

No, you can see his arm on the left as he drops onto the gorund right after it hits. I think... Besides, the thing doesn't fully spin around until after he's popped off.

and that is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO giving ratner WAY TO MUCH CREDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! If he gave a damn if it was accurate he would have shown it. He wouldnt hint to it. He would make sure that we know that he knows the laws of physics, but what he instead is showing us is that it ISNT his top priority.

What's wrong with this? It makes incredible sense.

Wrong again. just watched it frame by frame. no such evidence. NONE. and you can see it spin around take a mark on his head you see it roll from face to face.

And don't forget. There will be a game coming out that is supposed to take place in the timeframe between X2-X3. In that game we will see Sentinels in the Movieverse for the first time.

So it could possible be that the Sentinel in the DR is based on the Sentinels they first encountered in the game. And now they train for a inevitable battle between Mutants and Machines.

Based on that I bet the DR Sentinel isn't the only Sentinel we will see in the Movie.

EXCEPT for Xaviers firm belief that he WILL not go into someones mind with out permission. He will take over... but not hunt around. He talks about this in X1.. and in all of the comic work literature as of recent.

So are you saying that you are okay with a PROF. that MIND surfs and spies on government officials? That just creeps through there thoughts, with out permission on his time off?

Well, If that's true then I'm only wrong for the first time.

These robots are going to kill them, they need to be able to fight back. He's hardly replaying old sex memories:rolleyes:

now that is a good explaination! but it should be throughly explained that in the time between movies that they fought 100 ft robots that walked the cities destroying mutants... then phoenix was there as well in full fire! iceman iced up! lady deathstrike fought wolverine, etc etc etc.. the whole the game EXPLAINS is a nice SELLING GIMICK for fan boys who wanted to see nightcrawler

Could you mabye take a shot of that scene and show us that arm? Because no matter how often and how close I watch that scene I can't see a arm.

how would he know that with out violating trask's mind first?

The problem with that is you have to come to that conclusion yourself (and the veiwer having to stop and fill in a glaring gap in an action sequence isnt a good thing) and it still doesn't really work as anything that might obscure his approach is too far behind (unless he sprinted right up to the head just as it hit the ground then suddenly slowed to a casual stroll). So for me it does look a bit too silly, even with a custom explanation.

I also agree with Logans 'flight' looking too slow & straight: to go that straight he'd have to going a lot faster, but as is it does look exactly like what it is, rather average wirework.

I don't see either of these problems as being huge deals that will ruin the movie mind you, just annoyances you'd expect (or at least hope) they would avoid.

and the point is... DO you think they actually care? you think they will explain it? you are putting in more thoughts trying to defend it then they most likely did writting it.

I'm in firm dispute with myself. It might be the arm and it might be the contours of the face shifting. Probably the latter.

Yes, I think they will explain the giant robots, why wouldn't they?

I don't know, maybe it was on the news, or somesuch.

if you have to be HOPEFUL about it... well. I am sorry man. I just dont think they cared as much as you would if you would have made the movie.

i hate to be the bubble popper... but my arguement (although based on OPINION ONLY) is solid. They really ****ed up this scene.

look at most of the movies RATNER has done... then look at most of the MARVEL films as well... you really need to know why?

Man i hope i am TOTALLY WRONG! but this is the clip they show? WOW! did they not think about how easily it is torn apart?

I think whether there is an arm or not the scene is flawed because of this lack of an understanding as to where wolvie came from, it just doesnt seem right considering how far the head flew from

It's 11.30 am here in the UK...I've had penty of sleep :)

I'm not really getting where you make some of these plot assumptions from.

plot assumptions? an assumption that there is a sentinel in the DR room? that wolverine looks incredibly defiant to physics? the assumption that he looks like is being levitated over flying at force speeds?

those assumptions?

or the ones that say--- when you are an artist (like a director) you make sure you think about every aspect of your masterpiece. You know every shade on every edge of your canvas... you put your everything into it... or you dont make it at all?
