Wolverine VS. Sentinel clip

The movie would also be 50x more boring if it had to follow all the rules. Mind you, this is a movie about people with super-human abilities. There-fore, all that crap does not apply.

So just because we have people who shoot beams out of their eyes, can fly or turn into steel we have to throw the gravitational laws out the window?

Don't see how having same nifty powers would interfere with gravity.

The head was cut of from the body, where the heck is the body? The head fell like it was not that far away from the body, but the body is nowhere to be seen! The lights coming from the setinels eyes are round and have white light, but the head that got cut off has red eyes and that the eyes are rectangular in shape! This clip is to good to be true!! lol

I think people are judging/criticizing the music in the clip too harshly...I mean, there are some pieces of Ottman's and Kamen's music that don't sound a whole lot different than what was in the clip, guys (selective memory)...But that's not the main issue...The biggest issue with it, I think, was how the music was obviously cut up...

Am I the only one who liked the clip? I think everyone is making too big a deal over it. Its probably meant to be a more comedic scene to break up the emotional intensity of the movie. And I like Colossus' effects, I can't see much difference between this and the last film? Maybe cos' he had his shirt off in the last one it might have made it look different?

I liked it, and in the context of the movie it'll probably work out.

Its like reading a page from a book without reading the whole thing, you're only getting a small, out of context picture.

Yeah, that whole sequence was chopped up and pieced back together along with the music so they could fit the main ideas of the scene into a 1 minute clip for the audience.

exactly....

Looking at all this, I thank God I have a lot of work and a girlfriend to occupy my time... I had fun with the clip, the characters sounded right to me, that´s as far as I´m gonna go with this. Want to dissect the thing frame-by-frame to the very last detail on the background of the set? Feel free to, I´m out...

The whole Fastball/Sentinel takedown has an incredibly half-baked approach to it. Its definitely not a 200 million dollar budget being put to use there.
That one piece of one scene only makes up 1/20th of the entire movie...

I could show you a selective piece of X2 footage to make you wonder where the 110 million dollars went.. :p

Don't forget what you've already seen in the trailers and tv spots...Don't let this clip cloud your memory...I only say this because it's happen already for a couple of people..

ive been trying to tell people that all along, some people just cant relax.....its annoying, lol. i loved it for WHAT IT IS.

I still think that clip was horribly edited to keep stuff from being shown. Here's what I think happens.

- Wolverine lights his cigar.
- Storm runs towards him. They have some sort of dialogue and he thinks it's clear. They then hear a foot stomp and hide for cover behind the car. (This explains why the music suddenly stops when she hits the side of the car with her back)
- They then hear another stomp and see the searchlights from the Sentinel (no, not its eyes.... :down )
- Wolverine keeps talking and saying the panties in a bunch line, but his mouth is closed when Storm grabs him and they spin as the wrecked car is crushed. (I think something happens before then, and they dubbed the voice over to make it look like its part of the scene)
- Also, it could be possible that they edited out the Sentinel's body so that it's not given away so we'll have to see the movie to see the Sentinel. (I've seen some movies where they've edited out stuff like that to keep it a surprise)
- It also sounds like they dubbed Wolverine's voice and the electronics going haywire over the scene with the X-Men standing there looking. Instead of sounding far away, they sound close up. This makes me believe that we will see Wolverine atop the Sentinel chopping its head off, but they took it out to be left for a surprise.

Newsflash for you, every comic book movie and comic book for that matter defies the laws of physics. That scene doesn´t do it anymore than any other movie of the genre.
Yeah I know honestly. It's a great scene!

I see where your comming from, maybe it will be alittle different but I doubt by too much..

That is such a bad way to introduce the sentinels. They are supposed to be a huge threat to mutants, but this makes it look like a joke.

Ppl need 2 stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least we got something to ties us over until the 26th!!!!!!!!!!! I loved the clip...it kinda of reminded me of X-men:Evolution when they used to train in the danger room n could barely win w/o the help of Storm or Logan......By this clip you can tell there r goin 2 be sum issues w/i the team...Logan still doesn't kno what the word "teamwork" means n that he has not accepted Rogue,Peter,Bobby,Kitty r full-fleged X-men n that their growing up, n he has to let them crash n burn on their own, that's why Storm was so pissed @ him cause he destroyed the Sentinal on his own n he wasn't bein a team leader.......

FYI doens't any1 think this scene takes place after Jean's origins scene or the memorial or when Beast comes to the mansion n explains the goverments plans 4 mutants??

My guess? This scene probably takes place around 12 minutes into the movie...Probably right before Beast makes it on-screen..

Actually, the game introduces the Sentinels. Which backs up my theory that the X-Men know very much of them and practice against them in the Danger Room, and we'll see them face to face at the end.

Well that' doesn't help the majority of people who will A) not play the game and B) don't want to be hogtied into buying more than just a movie.

That's like saying though 'Why is Wolverines past not known'? With Trask in this film, we'll probably learn about why the Sentinels are there, just not in great depth. It's like you see the Danger Room scene, be like 'WTF was that' and then have it be explained later when Trask is dealing with the President.

We can't just assume that Trask is there just to get involved with Sentinels (okay, maybe just me)...I think they intentionally didn't give his character the full name, "Bolivar Trask"...Whether it's meant to throw us off, I'm not sure...All I'm saying is, based on how they're making the Sentinel(s) out to being as relevant to the main story, I'm not convinced that Trask will have anything to do with the one we see in the DR..

I am happy it exposes the chronic lack of a leader in the absense of cyclops. Like wolverine is taking the rip out of storm as she tries to do a job Scott was there to do. her saying we're supposed to be a team sounded desperate and i liked that side of the clip.
