How could the sentinels not be a big part of it? They're giant freakin robots! That's not something you devote a half dozen shots to.

You're only adding more weight to my arguments when you don't make a point, when you don't assess the film, when you like it "just because you like it" and perhaps don't even understand why that is. All of these objects and film are not created equally. They are subject to opinion, but there are certain objective things you cannot deny once you have weighed them against each other. There are still overall systems you can rate films, cars, anything based on and conclude that one has more to offer than the other in more areas overall.

What will this film have to offer that wasn't already done in both the first and second film?

Some will buy into it, but you'd be hard pressed to get all the snobby film aficionado's and older moviegoers to note anything very interesting in that scene, which really seems like normal action fare.

Yes. And for some that will be enough, but for others that is not enough to go see another movie about the same thing with the same cast and same characters. For some, a whole lot more can be crammed into a film. But this film is trying to be a summer distraction, not a masterpeice. That makes it similar to the other films, but on the downside it additionally seems hokier already based on everything we know.

They could make the Danger Room scenario more dramatic for the final battle. Seeing very little of the Sentinel in the DR could lead for a more dramatic effect, if we see them whole in the final battle.

And quite frankly, the humans have to do something. Dangerous mutants on the loose, and they just took apart the GGB? Some serious action needs to be taken.
