Days of Future Past Wolverine Will Be in Days of Future Past

Didn't say less characters...just said, not many more from First Class...

It's all about what serves the story...and the film.

Singer: "It deals with aspects of that comic but also some very new things."

:word:

exactly why I keep saying we can expect NEW characters too. :woot:

some users on here only expect 4-6 characters on the future and all from original trilogy. Be sure we'll have a new mutant helping the x-men on that future, and that character will have his/her own poster too. The same with the timeline on the past.

Remark my words, guys. :cwink:

I've said this before, but if some of the original cast travel back in time only to find the new FC team that they barely know, there will be no emotional resonance.

The FC team has to find a way to add in a young Jean and Scott.

Inless fox lets bryan throw out the Last Stand james won't be In film.Which Is likely why he has discussed GOTG with Marvel and Disney.Anna Is most likely to be In film.I have
feeling it will be eather Anna or Ellen In film and not both.

If Patrick Stewart is returning, I don't see why James can't.

If DoFP does restart the "present" timeline of X-Men films, Jean's return in The Wolverine could be her Phoenix powers re-manifesting. Perhaps Scott was resurrected too, or the Phoenix sent him to the past as well?

LOL, Mr. Millar. Countdown to angry FOX exec call in 3...2...1.

The studio already regrets ever hiring this dude...he can't keep a secret.

At this rate, we'll know the entire stories of The Wolverine and Days of Future Past by Valentine's day...before Singer even starts filming!

Famke Janssen's cameo In the Wolverine may simply be a dream or hallunication of Wolverine's.

People are trying to make It more complicated than It needs to be.

Just another thing about Wolverine as the time traveller, if he actually physically travels back there will be two Wolverines in the same time period - future!Wolverine and go-****-yourselves!Wolverine. Which would be... weird.

Because the Last Stand gave opening for Patrick Stewert to come back.

True, but TLS also didn`t close the doors on Cyclops.
He was never shown to die. Not to mention we found Jean unconscious at Alkali Lake.
A good writer can make anything happen.

Yes, I've been raising that exact issue on here for ages.

If they send back future Wolverine, won't they need to explain what has happened to past Wolverine?

Someone mentioned a crazy idea about Jean not actually vaporizing Scott, but sending him to the past. What if that's what she did, and for Xavier as well? What if the ending scene with Xavier and Moira in X3 is actually 1960 something?

Why would they? The past Wolverine could simply be somewhere doing his own thing.

We've already seen him "decline" Erik and Charles offer in FC. They can just leave it at that.

Not at all. That current timeline Wolverine is busy doing whatever he is doing. The future Wolverine will be doing what he needs to do.

This is a big event movie with two timelines, each timeline needs a complex and interesting plots.

Which is where I get worried about the movie being overstuffed.

I've seen a suggestion on some other thread that maybe the movie can be split 50-50 and that an hour for each timeline should be good enough. Well... imagine if X2 (or FC) only spent an hour on its characters, and the other hour was spent on a different bunch of characters altogether who did not even have much to do with the other group.

Not if they follow the logic of the comic story, where future Kitty is sent back in time(60s) and 60's Kitty replaces Kitty in DoFP future .

There can't be two of the same character in one place at the same time cuz the universe will implode or something.
