Worst Lines/Dialogue in Movies

Yeah, it kinda makes ya want to smack him with a shovel, though. I sure hope he and Spider-Man part ways soon and someone better takes over.

Umm... no? The first two films were awesome. Yeah, the third was a big mis-step, but studio interference played a large role there. I say, based on accumulated good-will, he can have the franchise as long as he wants it.

I enjoy his lighter touch.

Episode29, it's not about being darker or more mature. You can remove a lot of that godawful corniness and still have the films be on the light side. I think after awhile that cheesiness can get on people's nerves.

Nobody I've talked to has even mentioned that about the SM films. They love them. It's just the fanboys who are all up in arms about this ****. Cheesiness is part of SM. I mean, the concept itself is kinda cheesy. How the original comic was written it was cheesy. But in a good way.

Because the fans are the only ones who been able to see the different sides of Spider-Man in the comics. The general audience simply doesn't know that anything better is out there waiting to be made. It was the exact same way with Batman before Nolan came along.

Spider-Man can be funny(it IS supposed to have a decent amount of humour in it) w/o being roll-your-eyes corny or cheesy. But Raimi doesn't know how to do that apparently(Favreau would though). I swear Raimi must be the kind of guy who'd love watching Bob Saget crack lousy jokes on America's Funniest Home Videos re-runs.

I honestly didn't notice many eye-rolling moments in the first two films (the third went a little crazy). Sure, they embraced sentimentality and melodrama, but so did the comics which inspired them. Raimi made it feel fun and warm-hearted. I don't know, I guess I just don't feel the need to demand for a reboot or talent-change just yet.

Beisdes, in the immortal words of Huey Lewis: "It's hip to be square!"

Well there's a way to be sentimental and funny w/o making people do this :whatever: too much. And I don't want a reboot, Raimi told Spidey's origin well enough that it shouldn't need to be done again. But a new take on the material is sorely needed, IMO.

Someone earlier in this thread kind of hit the nail on the head here. The light-heartedness in the first two Spider-Man films worked because they took place early on. Even though they had some cringe-worthy moments (the hospital scene in Part I, for example) they still worked.

The problem was, in part 3, they took a step back instead of a step forward. It's not that the film had to be "darker," I just think that a shift to a more serious tone would have benefitted it. The series seemed to be headed toward one with Harry finding his father's experiments. Plus you also had a larger villain threat in part 2 with Doc Ocks device, something that threatened the whole city.

But then, all we got was three stupid villains punching Spider-Man and jumping around while Peter dances through the streets of New York looking like a reject from Fallout Boy. Such a disappointment.

But the Campbell cameo was great though.

even Bruce's cameo in Spidey3 was so forced, despite being one of the better scene.

Almost every scene seems so awkward that I couldn't believe that I was watching a Spider-Man movie.

Yeah, Spidey 3 was so awkward at times that I literally felt embarrassed for the actors, especially Tobey. That stupid dance sequence was flat out awful. And the end scene when he came back to MJ was just pathetic.

God, why does Part 3 always have to suck?!

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves had some crappy dialogue, mostly from the title character. The worst cases are when one character says something that works, and he follows it up with a response that could only have worked if spoken by someone who wasn't phoning in his performance (i.e. not Costner).

For example:

Marian: You came for me... You're alive...

Robin Hood: I would die for you.

(Yeah, I totally bought that).

Sheriff of Nottingham: Locksley. I'll cut your heart out with a spoon.

Robin Hood: Then it begins.

(My favorite line by Rickman, followed up by a really lame line from Costner).

Will Scarlett: It was your anger that drove them apart! It's not a lie! You ruined my life! I have more reason to hate you than anyone. But I found myself daring to believe you. What I want to know brother, is will you stay with us and finish what you've started?

Robin Hood: I have a brother? I have a brother!

(GRRROOOOAAAANN)

Hahahaha, QFT!

I'd have to say any line from "Twilight" especially these two:

Edward-"Your my own personal brand of heroine".

and

Edward-"I'm ugly" (yet looks like a diamond in sunlight:huh:!!WTF!!)

God, I hated that movie!:o

Undefeatable

"AHH AAHHHHHHH AH HA AH AHHHHHH !!!! AHHHHHHHHHH...."

"Keep an eye out for ya... SsstingRay."

"Yea-uh. See Yuh!"

I can see how, being inspired by Cobra and all.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned a hilarious line in The Ring Two from Naomi Watts: "I'm not your ****ing mommy!"

Every time I watch that movie, I just burst out laughing at that scene.

Dragon Ball evoulution

Goku: GRANDDFATTHERR I'mm SOOOO happpy Too CCCCCCCCC UUUUUU

Goku: IIIIIII AMMMMMMM GOOOOOKKKKKKUUU ,IIIIII AMMMMMM OOOOZAAARRRU

While it was an overall good movie, and while it may not fit into the category of worst dialogue, i just about had it with any phrase ending in ".... MY SON!!" by the end of Changeling.
Seriously, the movie isnt a good movie to play at parties or anything but you could make a deadly drinking game considering every time Jolie says MY SON!

"No more dead cops!"

"I"m not wearing hockey pads."

"I didn't sign up for this."

I love TDK but for real, who the **** put those corny ass lines into the film. Was it that *****ebag Goyer?

how is screaming ''no more dead cops'' corny?

"I'm not wearing hockey pads" was Jonah. TDK had a few "ugh" lines, but less than Batman Begins so it was a marked improvement.
