Worst Lines/Dialogue in Movies

The whole movie and you're picking that sentence? I thought it was one of the few good lines.

It honestly didn't bug me until I read Harry Knowles' scathing review. Now everytime I think about that line I can't stop laughing at it. I guess it's just the thought of someone saying that to a cancer patient... it just seems so ridiculously insensitive and cruel and yet we're supposed to root for the guy who says it.

All of the dialogue during the Obi-wan vs Anikan fight. Everytime they stopped dueling i cringed and wished they would just continue fighting.

And why is that a bad thing? It's so cheesy it's good.

It was fine the first time. But by the umpteenth time they said it, I was really getting sick of that line. Talk about milking a catch-phrase to death.

Instead of being a cute callback on the original movies, it now feels like the whole Galaxy is filled with pesimists that can't take a potty break without "having a bad feeling"...

Bingo. It's at the point that whenever some character says "You know what?" in the Star Wars movies you can pretty much guarantee that that line is right around the corner.

Cool avy Kedrell. I get a Charles Bronson vibe from Whiplash and I like it.

why? its the first 5 minutes. w know nothing about him.

I don't know. Just a matter of personal taste, I guess. But even though it's at the beginning of the movie, and even if you hadn't seen any of the previews, I really don't believe a lightbulb wouldn't have went off in your head that this guy you're seeing onscreen is obviously important, and since he's signing away his body to Cyberdyne, you have to conclude that he's somehow going to become some type of unwilling victim/hero.

It doesnt get any worse than Rob Zombie.

Stupid, juvenile and ******ed dialogue... .I dont know why this guy is allowed to make movies.

Really? The only movie of his that I've seen is The Devil's Rejects. I don't remember the dialogue in that being bad. My only complaint about that movie really was the casting of his wife. Yes, she's hot; we get it, Rob, we're all envious that you're hitting that. Doesn't make her a good actress.

Agreed. Especially in the Halloween remake. It's just very hard for me to imagine that everybody in the world talks like that. Reminds me of Bendis dialogue and how all characters lose personality of themselves for pointless banter.

You're so spot on with this. Rob Zombie is a terrible filmmaker. I don't get why some people ignore all of the gigantic flaws his movies have. To call him a hack would be a compliment to his lack of ability.

I am legend with will smith

when he meets the kid and his mom

the mom says something like "you're not to good with people are you ?"

it's like HELLO.... IDIOT, HE HASN'T SEEN ANOTHER PERSON IN 5 F***ING YEARS

Punisher: Warzone

Loony Bin Jim: "Yummy, yummy, yummy in my tummy, tummy, tummy."

X-Men 3

Juggernaut:
"Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut *****!"

That's pretty entertaining and funny. I don't know if it's bad. I'm still thinking on it.

LBJ is one of the worst characters I've ever seen in a comic book adaptation

Never seen Warzone. And by the sounds of it I'm glad I haven't.

Name pretty much any Quentin Tarantino movie and you got heaps and heaps of bad dialogue. He just doesn't know how to write it. His belief in the quality of his writing is so evident, and it's soooo bad. I'm not saying some of his movies aren't entertaining, albeit most of them are rip offs, but the dialogue is sometimes unbearable. Pretty much any scene in Death Proof that included talking was some of the worst I've seen recently. That coffee shop scene felt like it took HOURS to get through.

The Happening also ranks up there as some of the worst in recent times.
"Think *****ebag, think, be scientific."

The rest of the movie isn't so bad, in a gory, cheesy kind of way, but LBJ single-handedly destroys every scenes he's in.

What exactly is bad about Tarantino's dialogue in all of his films as you put it? I think it's just different from your typical Hollywood dialogue in most films so it comes off as weird actually hearing characters in a film have discussions like people in real life would. If anything a lot if not most of his dialogue is what I would call realistic and makes the characters seem like they could actually exist in real life.

I'm a little confused by his post as well. I can't imagine anyone saying it's bad dialogue. Boring I can understand but, Bad?
