The Dark Knight Rises Would you consider Jim Carrey for Nolan's Riddler if he never did Batman Forever?

I only liked the guy in The Truman Show. Other than that I don't see him as being the right actor to portray the Riddler. Perhaps if he dumbed his eccentricities down a bit...but even that seems like a stretch.

Cage already did ghost rider, who, seriously was a hel of a crap movie. Worst than Daredevil

I actually think it would great to get at least one of the actors from the old series to return to 'reprise' a character in the Nolan-verse, but the probability of this actually happening is very low, since WB now seems to be ashamed of how they mismanaged first four 'original' films. If anyone was to come back, though, I'd pick Carey in a heartbeat. His Riddler was one of the best things about BF (which is actually not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be), and, given how his acting skills have matured as he's matured, he could definitely turn in a Riddler performance worthy of the Nolan-verse.

No way. Even though Nolan wanted him to play Howard Hughes in his aborted biopic, I still think he's wrong for Riddler. And BF was very bad. A batmobile climbing up walls? C'mon eh.

I don't think he'd be a good riddler.

i say samuel jackson. lol. j/k.

Can you imagine that though?

Idk, Jim is over the top in everything he's in, except 23.

Jim is over-the-top when he's in comedy. That's his schtick. Though he has proven to be a fantastic dramatic actor.

If he never did BF, absolutely.

Carrey has proven to be a great dramatic actor.

Maybe if this was 10 years ago and he didn't do BF. He's starting to look old now. I think Riddler should be a younger, intelligent, socially awkward, arrogant, napoleon complex ridden guy who feels in complete control and power only through his little games. Just like someone who spends every waking moment on the internet but doesn't go out on weekends.

Carrey can do it. :)

John Glover for Riddler! :p I know he did the voice on BTAS and he would've actually been great like 20 years ago, like back from his Gremlins 2 days.

I would certainly be open to the idea of Carrey playing the Riddler ( if he never did in BF :D ).

Comedy is of course Jim's bread and butter, but he's proven to be a good dramatic actor as well over the years. And I do not have a hard time seeing him being excellent in the part, especially under Nolan's direction.

How many different ways can this be answered?

"No."

"Yes."

"No. He was apart of the old franchise."

"Yes. The question is if he never did BF."

"No. I dont think he can pull it off. I think of him as comedic."

"Yes. I think he's shown to be successful in dramatic parts."

....

Actually I would consider Jim Carrey for Joker in TDKR movie

^^It'd be weird seeing him trying to be funny and serious at the same time, I haven't seen him do both enough to be really sure, but I think it's safe to say that I doubt it.

If he never did BF, yea, I would consider him for The Riddler. I respect his overacting.

Nah. Maybe if he hadn't started out as a madcap comedy actor, and followed that route for so long, then I'd consider him. But I'd prefer an actor I have no problem taking seriously.

I absolutely think Carrey has the chops to deliver a powerful and convincing performance as a reinvented riddler in Nolan's series. I would consider him. But he's not my first choice.

He sure as hell won't ever appear as the Riddler again. That series is long gone. They're not gonna bring back the same Riddler.

The last one. Of which you are an offender. It was more of a general comment on the redundancy of message boards, anyway.

Comments like that are always annoying. Getting a completely different answer, each and every time isnt going to happen. So they'll be alot of offenders. Reality.
